I gotta say I like the looks of the joint from what I seen, so far. I like the theme and the use of blue color is visually pleasing. I also really like the pools area. One draws-back, though is location cuz there still ain't much goin on up on that part of the strip. In fact I think that one reason why the Resort Worlds has underperform expectations is cuz of the location. So, if yer stayin at Fontainebleau you can walk to the Circus Circus or Resort Worlds and that's it, otherwise you gotta get transportation to go anywhere else, So, I don't imagine they will be gettin much walks-in traffic. One good thing about all these new joint is that all that extra rooms capacity will put down-wards pressures on the room rate in town, hey hey,

Another thing about Fontainebleau what I ain't understand is why they aren't offering the tiers-matching for Caesars/MGM customer. If I was running their marketing department I'd be offering very generous tiers-matching to get cats in the joint to offset the lousy location and to fill the 3600 rooms they got sittin there, hey hey.

The blue theme is on point, and the pool area is a total winner. But you're right about the location hiccup, not much buzz up there on the strip. I guess the Resort Worlds learned that the hard way. But hey, at least the room rates might play nice with all these new joints popping up!

Fontaine Bleau has a long way to go before they can match the vibe that Wynn/Encore has as their room rates are similar or even higher due to lack of offers. They have been trying to steal customers and employees from Wynn/Encore and is currently being sued.
Also, Fontaine Bleau has brought back status matching but they match to low levels.
For example, I am Caesar's Diamond Plus where I get free valet, no resort fees, and 4 (up to $25 each) drinks per day (inclusive of Starbucks) but FB matched me to their Silver tier which requires me to pay resort fee, no free valet, and no free drinks.
For new members, FB gives $15 free play but for Silver status matched members they give a 1 time use dining credit of $100 which is a $85 added value vs a new member.
FB needs to review their status matching as they are just wasting money when they match competitors tiers to low levels. They match HardRock Icon to Gold but match CET Diamond Plus to Silver. I think HardRock matches Diamond Plus to Icon.
Thanks FB for the dinner at Washing Potatoes but I don't think I will pay $260 + resort fee /night when I can stay at Caesar's Palace completely free. I was thinking of giving them a try for a 2 night stay but total cost of ~$700 didn't sit well.
I think that they will have a lot of empty rooms for a long time and may only get fully occupied during big events/conferences. They capitalized on the SuperBowl 4sure but I think that's it until the next big event in Vegas.

I am not sure where this idea came from that Fountaine Bleau is the next Wynn, or anywhere close to the level of Wynn? Maybe they would like to be, but that never was going to happen. They are new. They have that going for them. But that only lasts a short time. After that they will settle in somewhere below the level of Wynn, below Caesars, below Venetian, somewhere in the mid level range as far as luxury and high-end status. That is the way it was always going to be, especially based on their location, which works against them.

And this lawsuit about stealing customers and employees from Wynn, I don't get. Isn't that what all new businesses do, try to steal customers and employees from competition? Seems odd to me, but then again, I don't claim to know about that kind of stuff.

UNKewlJ claims to know a lot about a lot of things where it always turns out that he was lying. So he's not shy about making things up on the fly just has to go "study up" a little first, then spout his compulsive lies.

As far as Wynn vs. Fontainebleau,

Wynn lawsuit accuses Fontainebleau of ‘unhealthy obsession’ with resort, poaching employees

The lawsuit lists dates and names regarding Fontainebleau recruitment efforts, even coming to the Wynn property as paying guests to gain access to the workers they sought to persuade to jump ship.

Haven't even been to Fountainebleu yet, but via their Tier Match I am Fontainebleau Rewards Royal.

The article mentions ongoing issues, where Fontainebleau was continuing to recruit Wynn employees as far back as in "mid-2022, a year and a half before Fontainebleau opened its doors," notwithstanding that it knew that Wynn employees "had non-competition agreements with Wynn that would preclude them from working at Fontainebleau for at least a year."

The parties came to some agreement where Fontainebleau agreed not to do it anymore.

Apparently this led to the filing of a lawsuit by Wynn against Fontainebleau in mid 2022, which was in turn settled via a non-solicitation covenant that "was to remain in effect through July 8, 2023."

Apparently, that non-solicitation was violated, which led to the current lawsuit.

Perhaps the lawsuit alleges violation of that non-solicitation covenant. It could be filed under a simple breach of contract or, some kind of "tortious interference" theory, where Wynn is alleging that Fontainebleau is interfering with Wynn's contracts with its employees.

I'd have to look at it. The article mentions District court but this could mean either the Eighth Judicial District Court in Nevada, which is a state court in Las Vegas, or the Nevada District Court, which is federal. If both entities are Nevada based it would probably just be a state action and I don't see any kind of federal question.

I know Fontainebleau has been very aggressive with trying to recruit players from other properties - both I and my friends / associates have been contacted, and other high rollers I know. Offering up front suite comp'ed stays and such, which is pretty routine in this business. For known players new casinos will always take a chance.

As far as recruiting employees, this always happens. I know of a lot of top people at Fontainebleau who came from other majors on the Strip, and when Resorts World Vegas was getting ready to open, some of the pit bosses and hosts went over to RW. Anytime a new resort opens they are in need of experienced personnel.

Resorts World Vegas was not doing very well rocky start, and I don't even know how well it is doing now as I don't play there as much as I used to, but the people I know who left the other majors to go to RW, mostly stayed.

The former top guy at RW is a friend, and he got the boot in a big way.

The Fontainebleau's strategy on tier matching does seem like a missed opportunity, especially considering their position trying to carve out a space in such a competitive market. Their approach to matching tiers to lower levels doesn't quite incentivize players who are used to certain perks at places like Caesar's or Wynn. It's interesting to see the dynamics between these new establishments and the established giants of the Strip, with each trying to outdo the other in terms of offers and experiences. It's all part of the Vegas dance, I guess.

I'm currently Platinum at MGM so I have no reason to give the FB any of my actions. They bare doing nothing to get cats in the door and establish any brand loyalty. I hear that they are really hoping to make a lot of cake with their nights-club and pool party scene, but that seems like wishful thinkings to me, hey hey.
