I just sharing a 3 STDV test with Oscar Grind - drawdown -100 units and recoup.
    Session end with +1 unit.

I like testing the worst to get familiar with how Oscar Grind works step by step.

Is so beautiful to see how larger series unfold after strong imbalance - find a 4.84 STDV - betting one side only
    singles versus larger series

I don't know if Jae has made any changes but I did some small test the way he explained it last.

Let's break this down and I'll compare. I guess u r playing $5.00 unit? About 66 bets per shoe so playing every hand. Using just the Banker side? Using his -20 for new shoe unless already in a recovery mode going forward?

I finished an 18 shoe batch (I did play 3 of those games live at the casino to get a feel for it) with his B placement and one that I like side by side. I don't know what his MM or Trigger is but I did use the -20 thing where applicable. It hit 3 times. Completely fixed placements.

His: 1218 wagers with net profit 702.25 or about $39.00 per shoe or 8 units. That's what I was trying to get a handle on. Biggest drawdown $340.00 and biggest bet $70.00.

Mine: 1290 wagers net profit $822.00 biggest drawdown $370.00 and biggest bet $100.00. So about the same.

Maybe a better bet selection and some MM could do better but 8 units a shoe is pretty good. I'll probably run another batch soon to see if there is any real differences but. . . pretty easy to see how things could go wrong. With proper bankroll series will resolve. One question would be how many shoes to finally recoup a real bad series?

So when the trigger of -20 is hit, do you bet 1 unit or 20 units?

Might as well do a trip report myself. Had a gloriously fast day. When we arrived at the casino, one of the shoes was negative 74. By the time we loaded our money up and we’re ready to have lay it was negative 89. So we jumped in on that. Almost recovered the very next shoe but took 12 hands into the third to recover. That very same shoe after recovery we saw a negative 20 and recovered same shoe. The other shoe that we were playing simultaneously hit negative 20 and recouped by the 20th hand on the next shoe. Highest bet was 23 units. Total profit a little over $22,000 we divided it between 4 of us at $5,650 a piece. Not bad for just shy of 4 hours. Gave the gal at Dunkin’ Donuts a $127 tip.

Neither, if he’s playing it like me, he’s playing it for whatever the virtual grind was left at when it hit -20. Example

    p
    P
    P
    B
    P
    P
    P
    B
    B
    P
    P
    P
    P
    B
    P

in that particular example the grind would be -20, betting 5 units.

I’ll break down the very same example with bets next to it assuming we are betting banker

    p -1 betting 1
    P -2 betting 1
    P -3 betting 1
    B -2 betting 2
    P -4 betting 2
    P -6 betting 2
    P -8 betting 2
    B -6 betting 3
    B -3 betting 4
    P -7 betting 4
    P -11 betting 4
    P -15 betting 4
    P -19 betting 4
    B -15 betting 5
    P -20 betting 5

this is where the virtual grind ends and the real betting begins with 5 units until the series is over at 0 or +1

Attached is an example that I ran. Column #1 is Profit/Loss. Column #2 is Decision (200=B 100=P), Column #3 is the Bet to be made for the Next Decision.

You can see that by hand #15 profit/loss is at -21.54 betting 4 units so I believe Jae would begin betting next decision at 4 units. He wins the next decision so raises the bet to 5 for the next decision. In this example after betting 12 decisions the profit/loss is at +0.84 so Jae has captured his +20 units pretty quickly. In my code it keeps trying to get to +1 so it tries again and gets above +1 on the 13th bet before dropping the bet to one unit.

Jae, so at a virtual -20 as in the example you gave, you start the real bets at 5 units until it is 0 or +1 which means to say you would make an actual profit of +20 or +21 right? Because you start at a virtual loss position?

One question Jae. Do you agree that OG is a MM (Money Management) approach to winning at baccarat? Not a trick question....

Thank you Jae for sharing this ! You answer my questions also which I would like to ask you today! Let I run by Banker only the test with real money of 1000units (I play by 1GBP bet not 5GBP at this moment)
    Will share results later.

This is why I don't like getting banker side continually. My fixed way can also lose 5 and occasionally 8 in a row but...

Attached shoe occurred 5 minutes ago. My way can lose, too but will never lose thst many. In fact it will win 12 IAR on that P run. I didn't try to figure out how many units banker would lose playing OG on this. Glad I wasn't playing banker on it. Next hand ended shoe with B.

The question is how many shoes does it take to recover from this draw down?

You can bet this way (aggressive) but the safest (and classic Oscar's Grind) would be to drop the bet as soon as possible to achieve +1 above previous high. So toward the end when you were at -19.65 you should have dropped the bet to either 20.65 or 21.65 depending upon your goal. At the end if you were at -3.85 you should have dropped your bet to either 4.85 or 5.85. This is the safest way to avoid blowing up your bankroll.
