In the good old days, card counting was easy. Card counters worried less about being "back-off", more about possible casino cheatings -- imaginary or otherwise.

But every thing may have changed since. Cut to the chase. ASSUMING, ASSUMING AND ASUUMING, if casinos still cheat, are card counters better or worse off than "ploppies"?

Some may say that casinos are license to make money. How could it be possible in this day and age for a casino to cheat and put its hard-earned license to risk?

Well, well, casino cheating has a long history. Old habits may die hard -- some die harder than others. GREED has been and still is a part of human nature, and no industry is 100% honest.

A roaming card counter in search of card counting opportunities may just stumble upon a cheating casino one day. Today's card counters should at least be aware of the possibility of casino cheatings as documented by many old card counting books such as Ed Thorp's Beat the Dealer.

Assuming a casino cheats, who loses the most?
A card counting pro or an ordinary blackjack player?

Consider this: Card counters deviate from basic strategy and vary their bets. When casinos cheat, the "True Counts" that card counters rely upon to make their play deviations or bet variations may be UNTRUE AT ALL. You may call the counts as "Untrue Counts" or Phantom Counts if you so choose.

When a card counter plops down 10, 20 or more times of the card counter's ordinary bet at some PERCEIVED positive true count, unless the perceived "true count" is real, the counter's play or bet could be 10, 20 or more times worse off than that of any ordinary blackjack players -- whom some counters occasionally refer to as "ploppies" in private or not-so-private internet conversations.

So, when a casino cheats, who is the real "ploppy" at the table? An unsuspecting card counting pro or an ordinary player? The answer shall be clear even to those who may only pride themselves as card counting pros or advantage players, and never as "ploppies".

Now that you are good at counting cards. Based on the high running counts or true counts you had, the remainder of the shoe should be extremely rich in high cards. You placed your biggest bet. But you, like everyone else at the table, were dealt small cards only. Some may decide to double, and some may decide to stand upon seeing dealer’s 5 or 6 up-card. Alas, all players got beat by the dealer’s repeated drawing of small cards to make a hand. The same happened shoe after shoe.

You suspect casino cheating. You suspect that the casino might have stacked the shoe or might not use regular 52-card blackjack decks. Question: What can you or shall you do?

    Possible Options:

    1. Leave quietly.
    2. Continue to play like nothing suspicious had happened.
    3. Stop playing, but start back-counting to further evaluate if your suspicion of casino cheating is justified.
    4. Inform the casino of your cheating suspicion and demand the casino to verify on the spot if the decks used are legitimate.
    5. Report the suspected casino cheating to the Casino Control Board/Commission.
    6. Other unspecified follow-up actions.
What option(s) you may possibly take?
