Greetings Craps players. I have been an avid Roulette player up until recently. I have a few threads on the Roulette Forum and have introduced a betting strategy there that many have said they are having pretty good luck with. In my original Thread titled "Red/Black Pattern Betting", I explained how I use the red and black patterns to determine my next bet along with a 7 step Martingale betting progression. To this day I am still having pretty good luck with the strategy applied to Roulette. However, out of curiosity, I applied the same strategy to Craps using the Pass and Don't Pass lines as though they represented the Red and Black in Roulette. I noticed that they also produce patterns exactly like the Red and Black do in Roulette. However, the big, big difference is in Craps there are no Zeros to interrupt and throw off the continuation of an ongoing pattern. I am showing twice as good of results with my strategy applied to Craps rather than Roulette. Bottom line, screw Roulette and its even chance bets. Craps offers a much better chance with this strategy. This strategy requires a 7 step Martingale betting progression. Yeah, I know, the Martingale is foolish and has been said to be a real loser over time. However, I am posting my strategy here for free. Like I said, it's worth a try. You have nothing to lose if you test it on a Craps simulator. I am very open to any questions or suggestions.

Craps Betting Strategy. By David Gregory

Bankroll Required - 384 Units. Note: This allows for the 7 step Martingale to lose 3 times in a row before bankrupt. If this happens, then one of two things, you are one of the most unlucky people around or this strategy really sucks.

A 7 step Martingale betting progression is used.

Session Wins: Play each session to a win of 64 units.
That equals 1/2 of a complete 7 step Marty failing. In other words, you only need to win two sessions to recoup the Marty crash and burn. But this isn't always the case. Sometimes you may be ahead by quite a few units before the Marty fails.

    Instructions:
Observe and write down the last 10 decisions made by the dice. P=Pass, D=Don't Pass
    Example: PPDPDDDPDPD
Starting from the left of the pattern which is P (Pass), bet the opposite, the Don't Pass line. After you place a bet and a decision is made, you write down the latest decision to the right and cross out the one you just bet on. As an example I will show below the decisions in bold type and those crossed out in regular type. To the left of the pattern is underlined what line is to bet but bet opposite. To the right of the pattern is underlined what the last decision was.

Bet #1. Bet 1 unit on Don't Pass PPDPDDDPDPD The decision is Pass. You Lose. Add that decision to the right and cross out the left.
    PPDPDDDPDPDP

Bet #2. Bet 2 units on Don't Pass PPDPDDDPDPDP The Decision is Pass. You Lose. Add that decision to the right and cross out the left.
    PPDPDDDPDPDPP

Bet #3. Bet 4 units on Pass. PPDPDDDPDPDPP The Decision is Don't Pass. You Lose. Add that decision to the right and cross out the left. PPDPDDDPDPDPPD

Bet #4, Bet 8 units on Don't Pass PPDPDDDPDPDPPD The decision is Don't Pass. You win. Add that decision to the right and cross out the left. PPDPDDDPDPDPPDD

Bet #5 Start over with a 1 unit bet on Pass. PPDPDDDPDPDPPDD. And so on until 64 units ahead or you lose the 7 step Martingale.

Note: If you place a bet on the Don't Pass Line and the come out roll is 12, your money is returned. You neither win or lose. Replace your bet back on the Don't Pass line.

In Summary, you will always be betting the opposite of the 10th decision back, and when a new decision is made you write it to the left. The real advantage here is you never have to fear a Zero coming up. The only fear is a pattern of 7 repeating from 10 decisions back.

Wow! You mean to tell me you lost 3 times in a row or more? Tough luck. I have a 9 win to a 2 loss ratio. Maybe you didn't play it correctly or you have the worst of luck. But then again, there is no strategy that can win forever. I will continue testing this strategy and if I lose my bankroll of 684 units I will post it here and admit the strategy sucks. I do at least thank you for giving it a try.

Hi there cleaningwindows. You are right, this strategy is intended for a 6 step Martingale progression not 7. My bad, If 5.00 is your base unit than you only Martingale to 320. I caught that earlier today and was going to post the correction but I forgot. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Also there is another rule I forgot to put in the instructions regarding the dice coming up 12 if you're on the pass line. The above rule is if you are betting on the Don't Pass line and a 12 comes up, you ignore it and replace your bet back on the Don't Pass line. However, if you are betting on The Pass line and a 12 comes up on the come out roll you lose. Therefore, you write D (Don't Pass) to the right of the pattern and cross off the last bet position to the left. Thanks for the input.

I do not think you can select Like on the original Thread. Only on Replies made thereafter.

I think admin has disabled like for members that haven’t posted 300 posts, it’s a recent event and probably needs admin to make a formal announcement. Cheers

You got me a little confused also. I was right about the 7 step Marty in the first place. You count the initial bet as the first step.

okay I got the 7 step part....this part I am confused...wouldn't you have to lose 7 times in a row to be bankrupt

That depends on what your starting bankroll is. As pointed out in the instructions, the required starting bankroll is 384 units which allows for a 7 step Martingale to fail 3 times in a row. A one 7 step Martingale requires 128 units.

I have actually tested this idea in the past with an 11 step martingale. I am afraid it loses in the long run so I would not waste any more time with it.

Yo fathead, you made 2 interesting comments. First you said you tested it with an 11 step Martingale. Do you not think that's a little ridiculous? if you start with a 5.00 base unit, the 11th step would require a 10,240.00 bet. If you lose the 11th step, that would be a 20,480.00 loss. There is no B&M casino or online casino on this planet that would allow a 5.00 min. table to bet that high. Your parameters for testing were way off base. Second you said it looses in the long run. Well duh, of course betting that high will lose big time in the long run. Evidentially you did not test it exactly as I proposed. Thanks for your comments.

I have played at craps tables that were 5 to 5000 (have not played since the pandemic started). 1 to 1000 is pretty common in baccarat (10, 20, 40, 80, 160, 320, 640, 1280, 2560, 5120, 10,000 for example). You do lose a little on that last bet if you have to make it, but it does not happen often. I have seen baccarat tables 5 to 5000, 10 to 10,000, 25 to 25,000.

I have tested betting against the 10th decision back many times. It does better than some of the other choices (4th and 10th does the best on my data) but they both lose long term both flat betting and with progressions. Just trying to save you some time. :)

David, since its a pretty straightforward & simple method - it can be coded in no-time.

Anyone here up to allocating a few minutes sitting down .. & letting it run for a while?

Okay I ran it on 53,000 live craps decisions that i have and it lost -838 units (it was on the upswing after being down -3000 at one point).

Also ran it on 285,000 live baccarat decisions and it lost over -15,000 units.

It did better in craps than baccarat. Like I said, don't waste any more time on this. Down the road it will wipe you out. Hope this helps.

Any supporting data - graphs, screenshots, permanece files, etc. ?
Anyone could pull that details writing them out right out the ass ..

Btw .. I am aware of the strategy + marty collision course, still wanted to see for whatever it is.
