I see the odd direct or indirect accusation that online casino roulette play is rigged, in the sense that there are algorithms which are controlling results in the betting companies favour.
It seems to me that in order for this to be taking place, the gaming software companies will have to have business analysts, developers and testers involved in setting this up underneath levels of management fully aware of this practice. It would similarly be well known throughout betting companies from management down to testers validating these algorithms.
Gaming commissions whose remit is to ensure fair play with either have to be complicit in this or be being lied to.
The gaming software companies license their products to many of the biggest betting firms so the number of people in on it must be in the thousands.
The continuation of this practice rests on there being no whistleblowers or disgruntled former employees going to the commissions or the press and the ramifications in this conspiracy falling apart would be enormous (collapse in the reputation of online gaming, corporate and I imagine personal legal action against directors).
Am I way off the mark or is this not even remotely plausible?

You can go on and on and fill the whole thread with them.

There are thousands and thousands of them - nothing rare or "hard to believe" that
a company can cheat it's customers in order to make money.
Imagine all those who haven't been caught yet.

Not really the same though is it, these are individual companies - this would be a multitude of organisations all colluding in the same conspiracy.

    Not at all.

Say a kid is stealing candy from a store and selling it to his friends.
The store isn't in on it, the company that makes the candy isn't in on it, the customers the kid
is selling it to isn't in on it. If there is cheating in the system - it doesn't mean the entire system is in
    on it.
I see this a lot with conspiracy theories - "how could everyone be in on it and no one says anything" -
in reality the only people in on it are the small group of people who benefit from it.
I saw a post years ago in another forum about this showing an example of how the RNG can be manipulated -
if I find it I'll post a link.

I’d be interested in reading that article but your example is not quite right. The software companies would be in on it as they will have developed the algorithm to benefit the betting companies and obviously the betting companies would be in on it.
Evolution has a plethora of clients. You think they’ve developed rigged software and assumed the secret would never get out? They’d be finished as a company.

Geez. It works like this. If you have a database of hundreds of video result sequences for every number on a live table and you have a switch from farther away to close up and then back to farther away like Bovada and the other casinos that use the same so called live feed have, you have hundreds of examples of video for each number. Well then you also have computer based shills that post text remarks while this live play is going on. And you have one person texting to you when you post live to there comment stream during live play, it is nothing to switch results from a stream that is 22 to 24 frames per second. Computers and software are so much faster than that. The algorithm can pick the loser for you, switch the video that is stitched in seamlessly, and even trigger a few AI texts to the comments stream from imaginary players that aren't even playing along with you. And the text stream can include your own comments too.

There is one way to catch them at this. Several long time players must play all at once from all over the world at the same time and see their comments in the live stream. They must be able to see other players that they know and read their comments. Then all the spins and the comments need to be compared. All the players must be honest and not shills for the casino. This is important too. Some of them must lose. It would be easy to catch them. Personally I doubt that you will ever find a time where you know any other players while playing live. Now you might think that you know them because you have seen them before on the live feed. But that is not knowing them.

Bovada is a non regulated online casino. Look it up.

Now watch that MENSA creature Spike try to debunk this. LOL It's way too tempting. He will have to go after this. It's clickbait to a moth to a flame.

    Well then avoid unregulated casinos.
You started with Geez as if it’s obvious and common knowledge. In which case the regulators would be involved. No?

I would say casinos do not have to cheat but some will if they have to. Would you waste your time cheating if you already have an edge? It doesn't make sense. They can simply just ban you if you win too much.

I would love to play one of those tables where real players are right there in the video. These are real people that can say they were there and can confirm all the spin results for an evening. There is no way to cheat the online players other than magnets in the wheel. I've seen a picture of that too. But you would never find that in any regulated gambling establishment.

"You started with Geez as if it’s obvious and common knowledge. In which case the regulators would be involved. No? "

I started with geez because the tech to do it is so advanced now that you can be cheated in a ten thousandth of a second and never suspect it. And I agree, only a few or even one needs to know it. In fact a government certified inspector for regulations got caught inserting an algorithm in slot machines that would pay off if you entered the exact sequence of coins in a machine over several played attempts. He needed a partner that was not well known to steal the money. It would look pretty bad him taking down jackpots all over the country. They got caught. The partner was a dumb guy. LOL

The question should be, are you playing real roulette or roulette slots.

Yes, that's logical. But what if it's not against the law to cheat anyway? I mean, this is an Indian run casino and they get a free shot at the white man. I just think it's too tempting if it's OK. They call this stuff gaming not gambling. What better game then cheating to win. There is a way to prove this, if they let real people meet each other in the live play chat.

Online roulette is reserved for gambling addicts and long term losers. Regular winners and APs are quickly weeded out and banned.

Bovada uses a live dealer feed from South America or somewhere in Central America. I don't remember. But it's fishy. There's nobody there but a bunch of empty tables with dealers only. The only method of contact between the players and the video stream is computer driven over servers and the internet connections. Go for it. Make a killing. I won't.

So how do they do that? I have not played enough to get banned. I have about 20 life time hours. That does not make me any kind of an expert. I just know that I could cheat people with JAVA, shockwave, and video manipulation algorithms. In fact that would be really a lot of fun to build.

I see people at the live wheel at GN winning 9,000.00+ per spin and they are always back playing.
There are ways to get banned, but winning isn't one of them apparently.
Those losers much be so sad when they win.

I said playing online, not in person. And yes, once you win too far outside of theoretical they will ban you in person as well. Don't use a players card if you're an AP. But Turbo, you're fine using one.

Yes, online at GN at the live wheel. I guess I wasn't specific enough, yet the thread was about online casinos.
I have no player's cards from any casino and never will. I never have as I have stated countless times on forums.
It's almost the end of the year - did you profit more than I did ? We never made the bet did we. Shame.

The Hippodrome casino in London is online where you get a live feed of the table and the players standing around the table but I dont know if that’s restricted to just UK customers.
It’s a nice casino in real life but minature compared to LV establishments, only a handful of tables, so it wouldn’t be difficult to work out which table is being used to tie back the action over the internet to real life but I’ve never done that.

Golden Nugget has a dedicated live wheel and dealer slightly off of the casino main floor. The dealers don't have to pay out chips as it's automated so fast spins which is better. If it were from a table with players it would take much longer. Lower limits also by far than what it would be if you were physically there.
But a RNG setup I would never play with real money.
