Okay here's your chance. You think I'm a fraud and a douchebag, here's your chance to prove yourself right. Ask me anything about how to bet on the EC's and win. Here's the rules. Your question has to be very specific. You just can't ask me, hey Spike, tell us how to win. I will not answer that. Your question has to show you at least know something about what you're doing on the even chances. It's much like how the Eastern Mystics teach. They will never tell you anything unless you ask them a question. A very specific well-thought-out question that shows you're actually curious.

I'm not expecting much, I'm not expecting to have to answer a lot of questions. Gamblers are extremely lazy, they want something for nothing and I won't do that. I can hardly wait for how many people this is going to piss off. LOL

Okay, but this is difficult. No-one yet can answer it.
I am aiming for 5 EC wins in up to 20 spins. How do I bet to expose minimum risk to my bankroll?

If someone can answer this we should be able to apply it to a more general x wins in up to y spins.

This is not a specific question. This is you asking please tell me how to win. How do you bet to make 5 wins? That's like asking me what stocks to buy so you can get rich. You have to be much more detailed and specific than that.

Explain what you mean when you say “I only bet when the game is going my way”?

SPIKE, there are the traditional EC groups on the layout that we all know and use for convenience sake. But we can chop up the layout in various ways to include many more less traditional groups. We can also add more EC groups by use of the wheel order, of course we are playing inside with these. For example, one of my go to 'non traditional' EC groups are what I call the "noughts & crosses". This being the 1st & 3rd nine number groups on the layout to make 1 EC.

Given the finite time restraints of organising any wager, my questions is, how many EC groups is enough? And therefore what is the tipping point whereby any additional groups become more of an over complication and begin to detract from the overall strategy? Can you state a number?

Everyone is different. I trained for years on EC's and double dozens. So when I play live at a B&M casino I always play on a crowded table on purpose. It slows the game down. I must use index cards and ink pen. So I need time to fill in the charts. That is done between when the dealer rakes of all the lost bets. I watch closely because the dealers rake winning bets a lot these days. Once they are clear of the layout they go into payoff mode. That takes time. I fill in my chart right then while they pay others off. But I always watch to see that they pay me correctly. Once the table is cleared for making bets I already have my next bet selection figured out and the amount. This all takes time. I can handle the three table layout groupings and three more that are memorized pet groupings on the inside. So on a live busy table I can handle 6. That is what is shown in the RR thread from years back.

Now on playing a live online table there is no time like a B&M casino. So I only chart all the outside bets. This is because there is enough time to chart it with my own live play software and get the bets down before the game shuts off more bets. So I only use the three EC's groupings and the two dozens/columns groupings as the software fills it all in with the added new spin data. It's fast enough to still use visual dexterity to find the illusions of patterns and trends. Then all I have to do is keep track of effectiveness as I play. I don't use a "wL" chart for that.

It will be interesting to hear what Spike does. Or at least how many tracks of data that he monitors. Like I said. Each person is different. I am comfortable with 6 because I trained for more than a decade on 6.

This is a good question, Spike. I think we (humans) naturally look for patterns and you (Spike) may be using some kind of pattern recognition. You (Spike) may or may not be aware of what you're responding to when you play.

One idea is that you recognise that streaks (both winning and losing) and variance (positive and negative) is what you pick up on. Is this correct?

I have a very specific game I invented that I play with the outcomes in roulette. I can bet virtually and see if I'm winning or not. When I'm winning that means the game is going my way and I can bet. If it's not going my way I would be foolish to bet. Here's an example from yesterday. I usually play two 30-minute sessions online every evening. In the first session I did not see a single outcome that I could have bet on. That doesn't happen very often but after about 45 spins I saw nothing. I came back 90 minutes later and played another session and it was much better. It wasn't great but my goal was to make one unit and I made it on the 1st bet. Why only one unit? I have a monetary goal that's quite reasonable, why would I want to make more than one bet if I don't have to. Why would I want to expose myself to more risk that I need to. And it just happens that after I won very soon after that there were 4 zeros in 7 spins which I could have easily been caught up in. According to my virtual betting I would have made my one unit eventually but who needs the hassle. As it was I almost waited too long too bet. I was following the trend that turned out to be 12 spins long and I waited for some reason I don't understand till spin number 11 before I bet it. I won and it ended on the next spin and then all the zeros showed up. In the second session I'm not usually as alert as I am in the first session. And you have to be alert at all times or you're going to miss something.

Do you flat bet or do you use a negative progression (up as you lose) or do you use a positive progression (up as you win)?

I've done that, I don't see the difference in the outcomes from the traditional EC's.

Years and years ago in the brick-and-mortar casinos I used to play 5 or 6 streams of EC's. But I was missing too much, there was too much to pay attention to. There's too many distractions in a casino, and your brain pays attention to them if you want it to or not. There's the noise, there's the constant movement that your eyes pick up. At home with no distractions I can concentrate almost 100%. In a casino it's 75 or 80%. So I limit it to just the three regular EC's in a brick-and-mortar casino.

Playing at home online there's another challenge. The time limit in between bets. Where Gizmo is playing right now he's got a luxurious 40 seconds in between bets. That's time enough to take up knitting and take a nap. I only have 20 seconds playing on the Evolution wheel, which unfortunately every online casino in my state uses for now. Supposedly Playtech is coming eventually, an office in Detroit is opening right now and being staffed with dealers. So playing under the time constraint I can only look at two streams of EC's. I use R/B and E/O because they have something in common. There are more red/odds then there are red/evens and more black/evens then there are black/odds. This can be exploited sometimes and I see nothing to exploit by adding the high/low numbers into it. I don't have time to pay attention to three streams anyway.
