<< Although I hate this style of play, I do wonder...

Are the cards in the SAME order as the actual wheel (if there was a ball)? 12-8-19-31 etc.

I've been playing them for years. They shuffle the cards and reorder them randomly every hour. There is no set order. It does not matter. The spinning wheel is pretty random on it's own. Superstitious players will see what they want to see and totally fair randomness players will see what they want to see. Will opportunities occur? Yes. Will there be the same hottest numbers? It will flow from working to not working just like everything tends to do. Sometimes you will get a continuation of the hottest numbers.

The number is never really hot, its the pocket (or section) itself. I would never bet on a "hot" card. (lol)

So with the randomness of the cards, its possible there would be eight red numbers (cards) all next to each other? Either way, I guess you would not even know(?)

That's the one thing that will never happen. They separate the black cards from the red cards. They shuffle each pile and enter them every other slot. So the reds and the blacks are the only order that is still the same. But there could be 8 odd cards all lined up. They never let the wheel stop spinning and they never let players get to see the order. It's too hard to see that. And in an hour you would never get the idea that a dominance of odds comes and goes consistently. It's meant to be a fair form of randomness. For me I just read my charts and go with whatever is happening in the recent past. I check that against my bets working or not. It's very simple. I ignore superstitions and magical beliefs. You can still use them. They will also go in and out of winning or losing phases. People tend to make way too much of all this stuff. Opportunities exist if you just get good at hunting them.

I just watched the video. Hah, I played that casino and won on most of all my visits. The cards don't phase me. I don't care when they change dealers and I don't care when they shuffle the cards. They lose because randomness still goes in and out of working at times. The casino can't defend from common randomness other than not offering the game any more. So make money while you can.

All California Native American casinos that offer Roulette as a dealer based table game have the cards. Even the 80 console seat stadium Roulette at the Barona near El Cajon in the San Diego area has one magic card roulette wheel. It's a deal that California made when allowing level 3 gambling at these casinos in California. Oregon, Washington, Arizona, New Mexico, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming all have normal Roulette where it is offered.

What??? This is an interesting thread... I'm going to have to watch that video soon. We don't have that variation of roulette here. Hmm, not sure yet if they use the numbered marquee...

I have heard about the rat roulette one. The rats run around the wheel, and then select a spot to hide in.
    Not very original.

I got a look at the video. On paper the
math is the same, but imo it's just not Roulette.

There has to be an extra edge involved instead of just a regular wheel.

I agree. It's just another version of the big wheel.
