This you must define from your method.
If your method for example swings down to 50 units.
i would increase the unit value every 100 units of profit at the current level.

@SPIKE you say you play evolution baccarat, but have you considered to play rng baccarat there. evolution offers 7 tables at the same time and you can shuffle cards yourself to save even more time or you dont trust evolution there

lets say your bankroll is 40. With 1 unit flat betting you are up 40 so now your bankroll is 80 units total overall, but now you start with 2 units as base bet

 

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I just today noticed your post. The 2 strategies I sent you had their strengths and weaknessses. After I lost 4 sessions in a row (even though I was way ahead in units), I made a complete turn-around in my strategy design. The original strategies were based on the therory that a pattern 7 charecters long will not imediately repeat itself. This worked for the longest time but I started loseing too many sessions back to back. After a close examination of why this was happening, I noticed that certain pattern do repeat quite often. So my newest strategy applies that principle. I have been testing it for a little over 6 months and it is getting beter and better. You asked where I play. I do not play for real money but only on game simulators. Sometimes I test it on Evolution live games and it does just as well there. I do not prefer that however because it takes to long. I am pretty close to the point where I may actually try it in a casino. I live in Ocala, FL and there is no casinos close by. When I get up the courage, I'll find one and go there and give it a shot. I'll try it at first with a 5.00 base unit and use a 6 step Marty. The most I can lose is 320.00 if it fails, the amount to fill a gas tank these days.

I also have a methodology that I tested with martingale up to 4 steps and it failed. Then seeing your posts I'm testing the same with martingale up to 6.
