I know a trader who gets his trading signals from the moon and other planet phases. He's extremely profitable (been many years). So I don't criticize anybody as long as they are profitable.

If you set out to learn the skills of RR then this is what you are expected to get very good at:

* Characteristics of Randomness formations
* How to use visual dexterity in hand written charts
* Conditional awareness of effectiveness
* Strategy to avoid personality weaknesses like greed or wishful magical thinking.

Now these skills would be very hard to quantify with a simple explanation utilizing a math formula or algorithm. But a computer program can be designed to execute these functions.

It's no wonder that math experts are stuck. When it comes time to explain this it will take a real genius to explain it with math.

Don’t get me wrong. Math does apply in our daily lives, helps solves problems in the real world etc. But there are things too that doesn’t require math to solve problems.

Is math required to learn to drive a car?, do you need a calculator to learn to fry an egg?, what formulas do you use to know how much toilet paper to use to wipe your ass?

You are so right-on that math does not apply to everything we do. However, the claims Spike and Giz make, math does apply, and that's what is being dealt with and not those every day things. Joe seems to be bothered only by claims that defy math. His response to outrageous claims is mathematically correct. Maybe some players can be successful beating roulette without applying math. But no one on this thread has proven that to be true, including yours truly.
