I joined the forum a month and a half ago in small part to be able to interact with my erstwhile nemesis, LarryS, but mainly to seek a new forum with a bit more headroom.

I like the idea that this board is loosely moderated and basically wide open, topic-wise.

While I've no real loyalty to WoV (it's just a board, after all) I will occasionally chime in quasi-protectively about my view of that board when its detractors start pounding it, and for the most part my opinion of the board is still positive: however I think the Wiz intentionally hosed some of the munchkins when he passed the hat and got them to give him money immediately before his site sale closed, yielding him a multi-million dollar payday.

Bad form, there, Wiz: bad form.

I live in Portland, Oregon, gamble mainly at two tribal joints (Spirit Mtn. and Chinook Winds), and play craps and a few slots.

I care not a whit for AP, other than intellectually: I gamble for fun, for the stimulation.

Some may recall that I have little good to say about dice setting.

I smoke medical marijuana on occasion, enjoy high end audio, sci-fi, and the company of my wife, my son and his new family.

OK, got to go work on my daughter in law's car for a few hours: it's a Volvo turbo, of course (we all drive various versions of Volvo turbos).

I'm a car guy; that helps keep me out of casinos, and the money I save buying and maintaining used cars as opposed to new ones allows me to more easily absorb the losses I incur playing negative expectation casino games.

Yes, I'm a loser in the medium and long run, but hey: as a great man once said: "What, me worry?"

I've been to Chinook Winds. They had an exploitable $25 denom IGT Vision Series three-reel slot machine there called Baseball. Is it still there?

Members who gave had to ask for their donated money back. And then it was like, "Oh, here's your money back, I don't really need it after all." Because, everything has to be about poor old hidden genuis Mike with hidden wife and kids. No wonder every single member there eventually sees the light, gets around to shitting on him.

Mike was a loser creep from day-1. A failing actuary who applied the phony concept of name dropping math for monetary gain by online casinos. Losers continually analyze their strategies, sit and grow old alone; winners put stuff together, and move on up together. Shackleford's Odds site is a bunch of losing strategies, which have zero value but to perpetuate the losers. Like telling an alcoholic, if you read the label, see what chemicals you're drinking, and then go research the chemistry ad nauseam, you'll have no problem stopping. Heck, if that doesn't work, buying better liquor will help you drink less.

The many conflicts of interest, and the concomitant evasiveness. Like any other scam site. A bunch of people jump on the bandwagon, and follow suit. Justifying gambling with math. A bunch of isolated never were strangers bickering about who cares what 24/7 with each other.

As things go completely south, comes all the whiners. You guys made your bed, now sleep in it. Don't try to rationalize it all away. You guys were the ones who helped Mike build up his worthless house of nonsense. What profit for even him after 20 years of work, and his JB cronies paid off? Ha ha. Here's to pissing on you guys. And laughing myself to sleep every night thinking about y'all.

Yes, this coming from the outset. Some avoided the seemingly endless bickering to search for truly novel methods to prevail. The true "gambler's fallacy" isn't about twenty blacks in a row. It is people who deal with garbage all day, but never realize it. The deeper they sink, the smarter they seem to become to themselves. You guys fucked yourselves. Mike couldn't bust out of a paper bag if you handed him a pair of scissors. The one thing he couldn't keep secret, make a truce of, nuke, or get wrong.

I did not ask for my money back. I was not on line much around that the time of the sale and out of the blue I got an email from Mike telling me I was going to get my money back.

A person of any substance would have said, thanks, here's 10 times your money back. I hit the big time. Didn't I?

That's a ridiculous assertion. So if he had received $10K in donations, he should have given $100K back? 5% of what he got paid for the sites? Absolutely not.

$10 is quite the donation. Imagine how good that would make you feel. Reminds me of a human smuggler who remarked how thankless people are after they use the washroom.

Hello V, its always a pleasure sir. I kinda like it here because I dont see the term "holy grail" much and thats just fine by me. Also, not too many progressions posted here. Over at another board....they'll use a progression to wipe their a** if they could. Strange but whatever.

"Sometimes people come in not realizing how proper this place is. Jumping on one's case the minute they enter the door is only going to ensure it's just y'all talking to each other all the time. In many of the cases, sure, a troll is a troll. But not few members here had a rocky start and went on to become mainstays. It's worth what little hassle it is to weather what silly posts there are to find those quality posters."

Looks like FACE is getting sick and tired of WoN jumping in every other post to have someone else banned.

Instead of taking the hint, WoN goes on about how important he is.

"Because I like people that contribute not people that spew nonsense or theories about the world being flat
I am busy- so far this year I flew over 52k miles and drove another 18k. However some of play plays require sitting and tapping the spin button on a machine this I can surf the forum - or I am flying and in the air with wifi- or researching on the Internet/ very little percentage wise of my time is ACTUALLY running the play- most of the time it's not even myself playing it"

    Lol.

About as ridiculous as that ridiculous Donald Trump who is on his way to becoming the most powerful person the world?

One story of goodwill returned in spades. http://www.hannity.com/articles/election-493995/a-couple-stopped-to-help-donald-14289119/

You pretend AP guys are worse than the system players you mock. All this ridiculous absolute stuff. MathExtremist and OnceDear ruined what was left of your Wizard's board. All the lame name dropping math drivel about standard deviation and conditional probability. I think you have MrV fooled, though.

I predicted KJ's Wizard demise a long time before it happened, to him, over at Alan's board. Some people just can't keep their mouths shut.

Mike isn't a bad guy--he just got himself hog-tied into trying to make all the atheists, agnostics, queers, transgender weirdos, self-absorbed math "geniuses" and the collection of other sickos over there believe that "advantage play on this and that" is the end-all in gambling when it so definitely is not. If that were truly the case, he would have never had to humiliate himself by begging for money from that crowd (who naturally gave freely because they represent the weakest of the weak in society) and instead would have practiced what he preached....AND JUST GONE OUT AND WON WHAT HE NEEDED TO KEEP LIQUID. After all, it isn't whether or not you win the bet---it's if you've made a GOOD bet"!

Yeah what a laugh. Had he listened to himself he'd have had quite the collection of phantom bucks to feed his family with.

God bless the wizard for trying.

I don't even know what "Alan's Board" is, nor am I interested in going to and looking through an unfamiliar site, just to see what was said, so might I request a brief summary of your prediction and reasoning.
