Nope, all rated games are at 3,000 starting point. If you chose to use the higher amount then it is no longer a rated game. You get to end not rated games without them being recorded. Too bad.

It's actually true.
Rated games start at 3k, 5k, 10k, 25k, 50k or 100k and then 150k depending on your balance.
You can only play 3k until your balance increases.
