Compare 1&3 or 3&1 3 reds then 3 blacks. But you still get a 12 or 13 sequence that busts your BR.

If you used 1 sequence and the sequence is losing take 2&3; if losing you can reverse the colour, make #2B become red make 3R become black
One side is winning means the otherside is losing, can you jump?

 

It's called variance and it rules game. You have to learn when the variance is against you and not bet. Takes a long time to learn this, good luck with that.
