To do what many of us already do. Take a little at a time and blend in. You will not be happier if you have a million. If you get a little more than you need, then you should be happier than you ever could be chasing stuff and things that you think will make people that you don't even know you be happiest about you. If you take that further then you can give up everything and follow Him. That's the one that came in the first place to save us all, Christ Jesus. Seek the right Holy grail. You won't be happier.

I know first hand. I was offered it. It was in my lap. All I had to do was be ready and go get it. I was not ready. In fact I stumbled at the start and squandered it. Fear. If you can only overcome fear. Hilarious considering how many things I became skilled at. I start out one step at a time. I was not ready until I blew up the chance. Then a year later I wrote the Reading Randomness thread. It's all history now.

Why not just keep it going right here? I love hiding my best secrets inside other threads. That's what I did at Gambler's Glen. There is the voice of one crying in the wilderness. His name is Bob Wells. He was in the movie 'Nomadland.'

    https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9770150/

He's not a Christian but he sums up helping people that fall through the cracks. He gets this point of minimalism. So check that out first.

The last bet of a winning session should always be a loss.

Such good advice too; John Patrick still speaks

Minimalism is a bad business plan. Attempting to spend less helps ensure that you won't make much. It leads to languishing and depression.

Have you seen 'Nomadland,' the movie? I've got a better one that describes being chained to expectations that you put on yourselves, to people that don't even like you.

It's JP's "Up & Pull." JP understood fear. Specially while you place bets that might be dangerous to our bankroll. Only a fool thinks that a last bet will turn everything around on a losing streak. People don't normally play the streaks. They think that seeing a trend or pattern is playing the streaks. There is no way to play trends or patterns and guarantee a win streak. You can use the shoe size of the next ten people you see walk by and you will produce a winning / losing streak from those bet selections. The point is to have a consistent bet selection, see the streaks, and from that you detect coincidental change results. It's a slow as you go method.

Now once you understand how you get there you look for patterns in the streaks. If you see steady three bet wins in a row for instance then you enter at the front end of a three step streak with a bet at 3 times the base value. Say your base value for attacking a possible win streak is $25. So three time s that would be $75. You win so you go to the next step. You now pocket the $75 win and reinvest 2 times that value as 2 times $25 or $50. You have your first risked investment of $75 back where it belongs as at a no risk condition. That takes care of fear. Now you have an extra $25 set aside no matter what happens in step two. You are already a winner going forward. Once again this takes care of fear. If step two wins then you have already had your "Up & Pull" in the pocket. You make money as you go. So now you have a total of $100 more if you stop on 3,2. That's $125 in your pocket. But you have seen a consistent "Coincidental Change" occurring. So you also want to take from that step three. That would be a last bet at $25, the base value, 1. So you have $100 in your pocket. You're at risk starting bankroll money is protected. This takes care of fear. If it wins you get $150 from your coincidental change pattern. If it ends and you lose then you still have won $100. So that sort of explains "Up & Pull" as you go along.

Actually just saying anyone is attempting minimalism is in a sense confirming what you are saying. It's just the same thing of pursuing only just like you said, it's also another trap of confinement. It's just a smaller box to be trapped in. The trick is to be free at any level. Doing anything for ego and stature as guessed at that other strangers will see your successes is the trap. You are buying the stairway to heaven as a way of saying it. It's a sucker's game. The trick is to be happy, contented, and free. I love that Sheryl Crow line where she says "If it makes you happy, Then why the hell are you so sad?"

Then following your advice is so rewarding? Just being canceled by such a contributor as yourself is to say the least the best feature of today.
