Played hundreds of machine shoes. Good for speed and comfort. I posted some RNG shoes in the 'Who Likes to Win' thread on 3/13.

Haven't been to AQU in almost 30 years. All they had back then was the ponies. I was a Dr. Howard Sartin Methodology handicapper back then. Handicapping was good in those days, and I made some good money. Then the track surface changed from dirt to synthetic, and everything went South. Got my moniker from those days.

My question was, do you find much difference between playing a Baccarat video machine or playing at a live Baccarat table? All I have available in AZ are Indian Casinos where there are no live Baccarat tables, only a few video Baccarat machines. AZ blocks out Area Codes from all US internet Casinos. Gambling via internet is a low grade felony. They call it a violation of the Interstate Wire Act. Fortunately, Las Vegas is only a six-hour drive, Laughlin only four. Could fly, but the price to fly from Phoenix to LV is about the same as flying from Houston, TX to LV. I don't mind the drive there but hate the drive back.

I have never really trusted Indian Casino's. They are not regulated by any State Gambling Commission. They regulate themselves. I heard of many cases where a lucky slot player hits a big jackpot only to have the Casino claim the machine malfunctioned and told the player to take their complaint to the Indian Tribal Commission. Good luck paleface. No one has ever won yet.

Had a friend a while back that worked at an Indian Casino as a comptroller. He told me they loosen up the machines to allow for more winners at the end of the month when most players were broke and tightened them up back again after the first of the month when the welfare checks came in.

Aqueduct used to be a good handicapping track. Better than Belmont. The change to synthetic surfaces does change the equation, but horses today are a bit smaller and bred for speed at shorter distances, rather than stamina. Harder to handicap short races. Jimmy Breslin said today's thoroughbreds all look the same. 'Like Siamese cats.' No horse has come within two seconds of Secretariat's Belmont run fifty years ago.

I can't tell any difference between the RNG Baccarat machines and hand dealt games. I've played Blackjack in a few AZ casinos. I won't return to Cliff Castle. Bucky's and especially Twin Arrows, were good when I played there.

The tracks are different these days for sure. Been “tracking” them the last few years to apply to a longshot system I’ve developed. The great thing about OTB is you can play the best tracks without having to physically be there. You can bet from your phone or even the worst tracks.

My “home” track is CD but it’s become so commercialized that it’s lost that hometown feel to the point where it’s more hassle than it’s worth to go out there anymore, even for the Oaks and especially the Derby.

I played Baccarat machines. They do not accept $10 bets anymore. Minimum bet on Player/Banker is $25.

Suggest you start from online casinos. They have $1 and $5 tables.

The live tables near my area start from minimum bet $100.

My main concern is, are Indian Casinos with the Indian Commission overseeing what they do even partly honest? That's sort of like the fox guarding the hen house. I am pretty sure they play with the slots. I suppose if the slots pay back something sometime, those players are happy simply taking their chances. Just don't win anything big and expect to get paid. I equate slot players with lottery pie in the sky players. However, you would expect the Indian's to be satisfied with the guaranteed Baccarat Banker 5% commission rake. I guess they are still pissed off because we treated them like shit and stole their land.

    I believe they are honest.
All casino games have house edge.
They do not need to do anything else to make money.

I have never played online Casino's. How much time do they give you to make your selection between hands?

I played at 12play. The video feed is from Evolution Gaming. I am not sure if they are available for USA. You need to check.
They give 14 seconds for you to do your calculations, decision-making and bet placements.

Pretty sure FanDuel has Evolution, although IDK if they only has their local table or also the other speed tables. There are also the normal table in which they give you 18-20 seconds to make your decision, and 2 squeeze tables in which they give you 30 seconds to make a decision.

Are the times posted above from live table play with more than one player? What about a single player automated machine?
