Not really sure what you are asking here.
The difference between 6 and 8 decks is the total number of hands that can be made per shoe.
6 decks usually only get to play 40-55 hands before cut card. Short game, no real effect on strategy unless of course you’re waiting to first bet on hand 55 and every hand thereafter etc.
8 decks you get between 68-80 hands depending on casinoverse cut card criteria. Automatically you can see you have an opportunity for 25-30 or so extra hands dealt for the shoe. Once again no effect on any strategy attempted by anyone.
RNG aka stadium computer dealer is an infinite number of hands dealt, meaning no end of shoe due to cut card, may have a change of screen as the current screen gets filled ( older versions) new versions the screen is always full , latest result is immediate right hand column, allowing for 180 plus hand results to be displayed, tie included.

The preferred format is casinoverse driven, ie some only offer 6 decks but you need 8 decks per your strategy. You either don’t play there or you adapt. Similar to 8 deck v 6 deck , adapt or DONT play. Only RNG, adapt or don’t play. Continuous shuffle machine live dealer, adapt or don’t play.
    Hopefully this is helpful. Cheers

Funny, I was just mentioning this to a punter who plays Evolution on line. He says it's 8 decks but they are cutting so many out that it seems like 6 decks. I was wondering if lesser hands per shoe might thwart those who are relying on certain patterns which can get cut short if you are starting anew each shoe.

Maybe like punkcity says just run them all together and probably it makes no difference.

In casino blackjack, the number of decks used can have a significant impact on the game. Generally speaking, the more decks that are used, the higher the house edge tends to be. However, there are some specific differences between 8 decks and 6 decks that are worth noting.

When 8 decks are used, it increases the number of cards in play, which can make it more difficult for players to count cards effectively. This is because the larger number of cards increases the randomness of the game, making it harder to track which cards have already been played.

On the other hand, when 6 decks are used, it can make it slightly easier for players to count cards. This is because there are fewer cards in play, so it's easier to keep track of which cards have already been played and which ones are still left in the shoe.

However, it's worth noting that the impact of the number of decks on the game is relatively small. Other factors, such as the specific rules of the game and the skill level of the players, can have a much greater impact on the overall outcome.

Ultimately, whether you prefer playing with 8 decks or 6 decks is largely a matter of personal preference. Some players may find it more challenging to count cards with 8 decks, while others may prefer the added randomness of more cards in play. The best way to determine which option you prefer is to try both and see which one you enjoy more.

@Gullywin: Since no one baccarat player in the world is counting cards, what's your thought about 6 or 8 bac decks?

I can answer this in the exact way that he would, haha.

It is true that card counting is not commonly used in baccarat, as the game involves very little decision making on the part of the player. Therefore, the impact of the number of decks used in baccarat is generally less significant than in other casino games like blackjack.

However, as a general rule, using fewer decks in baccarat can increase the likelihood of certain outcomes, such as natural 9s and natural 8s, which are the two highest hands in the game. This can be advantageous for players who are betting on these outcomes.

On the other hand, using more decks can increase the randomness of the game and make it more difficult for players to predict the outcome of each hand. This can be disadvantageous for players who prefer to use betting strategies based on patterns or trends in the game.

Ultimately, the choice of whether to use 6 or 8 decks in baccarat comes down to personal preference and the specific rules of the game being played. Some players may prefer the added randomness and challenge of 8 decks, while others may prefer the increased likelihood of high-value outcomes with 6 decks.
