Casino Why gamble?

Given that the house always has an advantage why do you gamble?. I really want to understand why. I know why I gamble, and I promise you my reason is very different from yours. Or maybe not, lets see.
I have gambled on baccarat only, but since this is no longer available in my chosen country, I now gamble on roulette only.

 

I gambled to make money but not succeded, so now i just play for fun with money which i can afford to lose.

We gamble to win money. Isn't it obvious?

 

For a lot of people, it is just entertainment. For me the challenge is to beat the casino and the house edge in all games. I suspect that most do not make money regularly. I hope you make what you want.

 

I mean yeah, i think we all gamble because we want to win or the feel of getting a big hit, glad to hear you only bet what you can afford to lose

I spent years playing baccarat, which has the lowest house edge, and yet to beat it.
I am currently playing with $1 units.

 

I was winning at baccarat consistently, and was subsequently forced to stop by the casino. Lucky wins are tolerated but skilful play over an extended period will, somehow, be stopped. In the country where I am, baccarat has been banned fron online casinos leaving one table only in use. Why the authorities do not allow baccarat is a mystery to me.

 

Excitement of the casino, to beat a game that some say is unbeatable (roulette), to be noticed, having a hobby and of course..... win some cash in order to pay bills and survive.

Part of my entrance into gambling, which I always avoided for many reasons, was to find a way to beat an unbeatable game such as roulette. More of a mental excercise at the time until I started making money.

 

Now? Not sure about easy but it sure the heck is not difficult.

As an ex pat Brit, I am planning a trip to London soon where I will have a choice of several good quality casinos. Makes more sense than an expensive trip as you suggest as I can stay with a friend at no cost to me. I can stay in London at any time, but thanks for the thought.

I gamble to primarily make a living. I was drawn to roulette upon hearing someone say it was an unbeatable game longterm. The house always wins. Having a determination to break the game. I began to study the possibilities. And after some time realized beating the game consistently was possible. But not the way just about everyone who attempts to do so approaches it.

 

Thank you for your comments. I feel that we have a lot in common in how we treat roulette. I spent a lot of time simply thinking about beating a random game and came to some conclusions that I now apply to winning at roulette. Same thinking works for baccarat which is unavailabe for me where I live. I wait for when I am in London to visit a casino.

If I am making money now, why would I buy another system? I am against buying systems because of scammers etc. Not saying the guy you mentioned has bad intentions, but just saying.
