Just wondering, how do you keep track of your units profit? How do you keep track of your units lost? Any graphs or charts you made showing overall trend or P&L chart?

    Thanks

In all honesty after you indicating you are capturing on average 440 units per month on another thread equating to being 5.5 years of consistently being profitable with your figure posted above, I know you still won’t have any real data to show. No graphs, no charts, no tables showing your drawdowns or profits. Nor will you have any substance in your response to my post other than calling me names, hey hey!

    Prove me wrong

Maybe you would feel better if someone was selling you something, a whorey gale of some description .
I can’t see soxfan claiming anything in this thread
I do see him asking a question
I think you are being a bit cuntfrontational with your post , especially seeing how you are only a recent member, Sunday I believe.
You are displaying in my opinion the classic system selling opening gambit, similar to the other systems selling members, create a cunftrontation across various threads then get a cuntmmunity of support of sock puppetry.

I am a lurker on this forum. I’ve read posts from you, gizmo, jimske, lungyeh and the frequent posters from the past couple of years in all of your journeys. Sure you could think I’m trying to sell a system and I’m more than happy to be banned for doing so if I at any point of my membership gather a community of people who want the ultimate whorey grayL that will guarantee profits!

I am genuinely curious as to how sox documents his own sessions and his swings. Whether it be a table of logs from every singular session, from multiple sessions, whatever it may be. However, from reading his posts on various threads in this forum, his only responses were defending himself from those to oppose his ideas. I agree with you I was being cuntfrontational and I shouldn’t have explicitly stated my thoughts.

As much as I enjoy soxfan’s posts and rebuttals from a humor standpoint I think the question asking if anybody is making that kind of money is luring people in for name calling and an argument. Just my observation. So when you are curious as to his method, you are stepping right into it. But I don’t blame you for asking about it at all.

Haha I enjoy all the replies he has given. As I said I’m a lurker and it’s nothing but humor to see the contrast in viewpoints and intellectual conversations between his anecdotes to those who have posted data and visualizations from their own experiences to back up their styles of play.

    Nice
Welcome to the gambling forum, it’s a nice enough cuntmmunity and I for one am eager to read your verifiable cuntributions.

You seem genuine in your response that you are not a system seller as you have taken the time to make a cuntious effort to distance yourself from any cuntroversy related to selling whorey gales, nice.

    Cheers

All of a sudden, you object to confrontation?:p

What's the point of the question sucksfan asks anyway? The responses would suggest people perceive it as a claim to some nebulous achievement. I suggest the point was, as usual, self aggrandizement. And as usual without context, reference or documentation is meaningless.

Actually this is a pretty good question. For everyone really. Unless you keep records it's difficult to know exactly where you stand with this game.

Sox and PC record shoes by hand in notebooks. I record shoes from scorecards bit now with smartphone allowed I take photos then transfer all data to a spreadsheet. If I am playing one particular strategy I keep my W/L registry to get an idea of my win %.

It's hard for me to understand how sox has a notebook data base of 8000 shoes as he has stated. I imagine 100 spiral ring notebooks stacked on his kitchen table. I really can't imagine having to flip page after page trying out different methods. It's easier for me because I have a program that helps. Still it will take me a week or two to get through a 500 shoes. And then to find it's a loser and then try something else!

The method I use comes from a coded sample of about 5000 shoes. But in the end it still requires subjective input.

Structure helps but it's still a betting and guessing game!

    Cheers

Power to you computer coding wizards. I wish I was better with computers and coding. Would making testing ideas so much quicker.

Hey Jimske, thanks for your reply.

I understand that they record their results within a notebook. I have reviewed PC's flat betting thread and see that he tracks his sessions in a unique way, nevertheless still on paper. As you said, it is also quite difficult for me to comprehend how large amounts of data (5+ years) from sox can be analyzed by flipping through every single page and making a visualization of all the data in his head. I don't think I could know that my strategy or plan would be effective and profitable if I personally didn't have a visualization of how much I am overall in profit after my losing sessions (as I have many of them). Maybe he just has that talent.

As for how you keep track, thank you! I personally use excel/sheets to track every session played and it is especially helpful in pulling me back to reality and treating this like a business. I can see the uptrend in my session wins, but I can also see my session losses and drawdowns which leads to my recoup plan. Sure, it might not have much of an impact on how effective your strategy is, but it helps you analyze and reflect on what you are doing.

As for your tests, I am envious just like the others that you are able to have these programs to run through strategies. Do you have any threads you posted on how you carry out these experiments? I would love to read them.

    Thank you again!

As per usual I hope you have not taken my initial post to you personally, I just have a dislike of system sellers, your initial post to this thread was a red flag in my opinion, we have since amicably resolved that initial impressions I had. The language was just my weird humour spilling over from another thread. I was in full skipptophia mode.

Just a clarification regarding my record keeping.
The casinoverse here in skipptophia doesn’t allow for electronic devices at the live dealer table . Days gone past they provided cards and pens, i initially used them and had in fact managed to Aquire Boxes of cards. Probably a good 15 years plus worth, during that time I had AND did sift through them, reworking many many many new methods looking for that thing that I could say was working effectively. I did not find it at that stage.

The casinoverse here phased out the cards and pen at the table, costing, mess, arguments etc. I had already started transferring card data to a book to trial new methods as the cards are actually becoming over worked by now and the visual clarity was noticeably a shitmess. I started taking the book to the table to direct entry the shoe as sessions played. The book was too bulky at the table so I did a cut down version that worked for me. Worked for the other players, limiting space etc. The cut down book was totally effective at the stadium that was introduced here a few years before Covid and my first post here this forum, we had just entered lockdown etc.

The requirement of having database is valid to a degree. Initially I used to recycle data for new methods testing. In my opinion it’s the necessary TRAP we all must experience. I’m speaking about the long hand method not programming etc at the moment. So I had many thousands of shoes for data, I was of the opinion that 10,20,100 was not a big enough sample and was happy to go the 1000 plus route. Then I actually had an epiphany on more than one occasion lol. This had changed my opinion entirely on the need to gather and retain data, test methods for a 1000 plus shoes etc and I actually became an anti sim junkies person.

The reason being after running a method , tweaking parameters, inserting rules/guidelines past the historical data and coming up with a “perfect” method in my opinion.

It would implode within the first few shoes of actual live chips on the felt live play. So my question was did i actually run enough trials, then my question was , remember this was longhand database, am I really going to waste hundreds of hours to test the 15000 or more shoes I have, boxes of them? This is the trap we all start with. I decided that I could just go theoretical and enjoy the mental stimulation I received from analysing, thinking, problem solving etc
    OR
I could try and make REAL money and support my mental stimulation in other ways.

I was /am fortunate that I did so much research because it really helped me to understand that there is not just ONE successful method and to be successful you need the correct psychological toolkit, bankrolling toolkit and a valid selection criteria toolkit, the selection toolkit can and does entail various types plus your skills to implement the right set of strategies at the right time.

    Yes
The testing of data helps BUT it is NOT the be all and end all .

Eventually you have to realise you can test endlessly and be a theoretical expert or you can be a financial expert by putting into practice the THING you settle on , the THING you decide WORKS for YOU, the individual and APPLY it at the game table for real.

Me , I have decided on something that works for me, using the experience I have gained for last few decades, is it a holy grail? No not by any stretch of the imagination BUT it works for me by me.

I don’t have the need to use any past data AT All
If you need past data access then in my opinion you are still at the “I still haven’t found what I’m looking for” stage. But I say many of you MAY have found something but you maybe stuck on the gazillion shoe verification approach .
If you need to see say sox graphic/chart ask yourself why. What actual benefit will it give you. He plays bank only, you , other’s can run a sim on a gazillion shoes and get various outcomes. That is the important part I understood years ago “various outcomes” that is the trap.
I don’t use old data because I don’t have the need to change the selection criteria I use. Yes I twig it every now and then but I haven’t changed the fundamental principle, I may trial an extra idea, including or discarding as needed.
As for profit or loss assessment subtract starting balance from end balance at each session end then subtract original starting bankroll your today bankroll. You will get the correct financial figures, the unit maybe tricky as the unit value increases or decreases depending on your stake plan.
The recording of results that I did start with, the sample of recorded revenue, data , I posted here this forum on another thread was a very real and integral aspect of MY development as a professional, using the selection criteria, bankrolling, rules, time analysis, hand profit/loss , averages .
    WHY ?
Because it reinforced what I was attempting to do TO ME as verification that I actually had something that would work for me. It , the record keeping process was a visual tool for me, not for anyone else, even though I posted it here. The confidence I was able to achieve from it was astounding. Posting it here actually was probably way above people’s pay grade as most only wanted the machinations of the selection criteria without realising it was an incorporation of many aspects.

So I would suggest you the individual ( full disclosure I’m talking about the generic you) find a method that suits your personality, record the results in a way that relates to your personality, define and apply the necessary techniques you the individual needs to be a success.
    Cheers
