Hi guys! I have been experimenting with a new bet selection that would incorporate two different dozens (1 dozen and 1 column) and it is doing better than expected (until it doesn’t!). Obviously flat betting is the best solution but it has many sessions where it would have difficulty overcoming the house edge and would need a progression to help push it over the top. Of course, this will be beaten eventually but I’m hopeful. In order to test further, I would like to know what you use as a progression. I’m also experimenting with another bet selection that needs the same kind of help.

I will test your money management advice and if something works well, of course, I will share my bet selection(s) here. If not, I definitely won’t waste your time to spinning your wheels.

    Thank you in advance.

Here's a couple Dozen/Column progressions. I based mine off a % ROI return. They're negative progressions. My table limits are 5k I think for dozens so that's as far as my program takes it. Dozens and Columns can lose for 30 rounds straight, sometimes 40.

You can see the different levels as the first number, then the bet as the second. It's set up to start at a $0.10 bet.

Becareful using negative progressions in general. They don't change the house edge (at all), just amplify it.

    10% ROI
    {0: 0.1, 1: 0.1, 2: 0.2, 3: 0.3, 4: 0.5, 5: 0.7, 6: 1.1, 7: 1.8, 8: 2.8, 9: 4.4, 10: 7.0, 11: 11.0, 12: 17.4, 13: 27.5, 14: 43.4, 15: 68.5, 16: 108.2, 17: 170.8, 18: 269.7, 19: 425.8, 20: 672.3, 21: 1061.5, 22: 1676.0, 23: 2646.3, 24: 4178.2}

    20% ROI
    {0: 0.1, 1: 0.1, 2: 0.2, 3: 0.3, 4: 0.5, 5: 0.8, 6: 1.4, 7: 2.3, 8: 3.8, 9: 6.4, 10: 10.6, 11: 17.7, 12: 29.5, 13: 49.2, 14: 82.0, 15: 136.6, 16: 227.7, 17: 379.5, 18: 632.5, 19: 1054.1, 20: 1756.8, 21: 2927.9, 22: 4879.7}

If you want a different ROI % let me know, takes 2 seconds to generate one.

If you want to share your strategy I can program it and let you know the results. If not, no worries.

    Thanks @Chrono

I will take a swing at this tomorrow morning. If I see some promise I will certainly send you a note. I have no problem sharing it at all.

@Chrono You are going from zero to one to two based on if you have one loss? Do you keep going up on a win until you recover all the way?

No problem. It's an endurance progression. Lower ROI% = more levels. I have some tests last 20k spins with losing strategies (under ideal conditions) using this. Let me know

edit: yes 0 is the first step. 1 win recovers everything. Sorry should have mentioned that. In coding the first index is always 0 unless otherwise stated so that's why it says 0.

I should clarify, that progression is PER DOZEN.

If you're betting on 24 unique numbers then I'd need to regenerate it at a base bet of $2.4 (or 24) so you can divide each level by 24 and get a correct bet sizing per pocket bet.

It would be one dozen and one column. There is an opportunity for a double win but we know those chances are unlikely. So 0.1 for the dozen and 0.1 for the column to start. With each loss, it goes up the chain.

Now will it recover if only one side of it wins? Meaning dozen wins and column doesn’t? Or do both legs have to win?

Both legs would have to win for a full recovery. Which ever one does win it fully recovers that bet plus 10/20% profit of total invested up to that point. The losing bet you'd have to continue with the progression until a win.

So let’s say that one of them wins, would you just stay at that level until a full loss?

So if you're betting doz 1 col 1

15 both progs increase by 1
18 both progs increase by 1
21 both progs increase by 1
12 comes out - doz 1 win - reset doz 1 progression back to level 0. Col 1 progression increases by 1
36 both progressions incease. Doz 1 at level 1 now Col 1 at level 4 now
    4 Both win, reset both

That's how I use it, not sure that it'd work without increasing on each loss. Unless I'm misunderstanding you.

You’ve got it right. Thank you so much. I will test and let you know how it goes tomorrow. I also have a 16# bet that is good but needs help.

I took the 10% ROI for the Dozen or Column and run it up to 17 steps to see what the profit / loss scenario would be.

So you have Stake, money spent, return and profit.

    1) 10p, 10p, 30p, 20p.
    2) 10p, 20p, 30p, 10p.
    3) 20p, 40p, 60p, 20p.
    4) 30p, 70p, 90p, 20p.
    5) 50p, 1.20p, 1.50p, 30p.
    6) 70p, 1.90p, 2.10p, 20p.
    7) 1.10p, 3,00p, 3,30p, 30p.
    8) 1.80p, 4.80p, 5.40p, 60p.
    9) 2.80p, 7.60p, 8.40p, 80p.
    10) 4.40p, 12.00p, 13.20p, 1.20p.
    11) 7.00p, 19.00p, 21.00p, 2.00p.
    12) 11.00p, 30.00p, 33.00p, 3.00p.
    13) 17.40p, 47.40p, 52.20p, 4.80p.
    14) 27.50p, 74.90p, 82.50p, 7.60p.
    15) 43.40p, 118.30p, 130.20p, 11.90p.
    16) 68.50p, 186.80p, 205.50p, 18.70p.
    17) 108.20p, 295.00, 324.60p, 29.60p.

Multiply all that by 10 and you should be good to earn a couple of hundred a day with any reasonable bet selection.
There are two ways to look at it however depending on how good you know your bet selection is because if you play like this, well it's true that you will be making small gains, you are missing out on the explosive power that a positive progression can bring when you hit a really good run. (especially with the dozens or columns)

    Nice.

I also had the thought to use this progression in reverse as a positive staking progression. So if I had a clear edge I could set the roi to whatever the edge is and then just increase on each win.

Also totallyoff topic, I'm trying to reply in my thread but my responses keep getting moderated. Does anyone know why?

Don’t know why they would be moderated. But thank you for your persistence. I’m looking forward to seeing how these pan out.

    Great work @Chrono !
    Thank you!

I wonder if you have something similar for EC

I dont play EC, so unfortunately i dont have one. Once it gets to EC it's gotta be a martingale to do a full recovery in one win, so to do something similar would be a grand martingale I suppose. Although I couldn't say what the ROI % would be. I only have progressions for dozens and down.
