Baccarat How to get started

Hi,
I am new around here and was wondering where to start and what threads to read first so I can improve my play.
I would be very grateful if someone helps.

My advice would be to use the 'Wayback Machine' and go to the books section. They have a pretty extensive library of Baccarat books from some of the best authors on the subject. Then once you get up to speed, you can read how others have adopted some of these methods and tweaked them to their taste.

Some of the basics though....

87.5% of all decisions are made up of 1's, 2's and 3's.

1's = 50%
2's = 25%
3's = 12.5%

The P single is more common than the B single.

Some people will say the stats don't matter because short term anything can and will happen (which is true) but you need a grounding in the game to understand it and then you can sort out the wheat from the chaff and develop your own style.

Something else worth mentioning as well is that you can test and test and test some more but you learn the quickest at the tables what doesn't work.

That's plenty to get started with.

STDV sounds like a nasty disease

It's Standard Deviation. There are plenty of topics about it on gambling forums. Basically, it's the measure of how much variation there is in a set of data.

EC stands for even chance. So you have Banker / Player, Red / Black in Roulette etc... anything which offers a 50/50 proposition (less tax) is an EC.

Everything thing under the Sun has already been discussed repeatedly on sites like this, reduht, other sites, YouTube etc. so maybe review the most active discussions here by number of posts as a start.

Isn't that too wide of a search? Can you suggest something that works for you or is of significant value for my game?

 

Most players have paid a lot in time and energy and money so they aren't going to directly outline their cards in full.

You can see all the posts and comments from everyone which isn't hard to review. For example, on the reduht a while back someone was claiming to go for 5 wins in a row, and now someone is calling for time savings of 8 - 10 wins in a row. Reviewing comments reveal what most people think.
