I would draw your attention to the mean bet sizes, the longest losing streaks, and the max bet sizes. Our longest losing streak from these tests is 22. That's tripling each time and going back to base on a win.

You can NOT win MORE than you LOSE doing this kind of stuff.

Remember - these are gamblers we're talking about here.

Hit rates and their cumulative over time hit rate - reversion to the mean. Try to figure out how to make money with that one.

 

And notice how when I provide data - the exact same data as @HAL for instance - I don't block anything out.

When the paper discusses optimal stopping, it usually refers to deciding the best time to stop based on observed data? I understood that is needed for a line ,when the conditions (such as frequency of occurrences) suggest it is optimal to make a bet based on the observed data!
Or is like we observe first and apply OS?

Thanks @HAL. I love these, @TwoUp used to provide similar techniques on occasion. My education background isn't math, but sometimes I think self teaching is the best way to grasp the concept.
