Some members might want to converse further than the written word, or they might want to hold a Skype group training or discussion.

How about adding a chat section? All chats that people will have can be recorded verbatim and reproduced as a topic. I do not know if it is technically feasible or not but then it will be a transparent thing and add value and volume to this forum. Nobody will be able to misuse that facility here,in that case.

I first wanted a chat room, then understood how it could stymie the forum (posting) growth, and change my mind.

I still think a Bulletin board of sorts, post a question (require details or it does not become a post from Admin (maybe admin could have a second name Big Brother - for Bulletin Board).

BB Question for today:

When playing cash games at a casino, should I establish a stop loss, stop win system? In other words, if I go with $300 and lose half, should I pick up and come back another day (especially if my bankroll is lite, like $2000), or if I win early and get up to $750, should I cash out and bank the $450 winning to build my bankroll further? If I don't want to go home, could I cash out $300 profit (doubling my money, always a minimum goal for me), and use the $150 to sit again and try to parlay it up, or choose a less expensive game and relax and work on winning additional money?

Can anyone tell me why my aces get cracked 95% of the time?

Stop loss and stop win do NOT effect the 'final' outcome, they only delay it.
If the house has the advantage, you know how it will ultimately end, don't you?

 

I play poker, against others, not the house, although the house gets a piece of each pot.

But stop-loss/stop-win still adds nothing, while slowing down your expected long-term results.

 

I agree (partly), but when players are forced to start at 1/2 nl in casino's and don't have the required overall bankroll, they should establish some guidelines to grow their bankroll, not jeopardize it. this is one way.

Once established and having a cushion, I'm sure if they are winning, not sick, don't have an appointment, playing in a great (juicy) game, they will stay and maximize profits..

 

Again stop loss is not a substitute for adequate BR, they will only delay the final result.
IF you have an advantage, it is for a particular game size based on BR. If you overbet the BR you will lose ultimately even if you use stop-loss.

You need to determine what bet sizing your BR can sustain.
You should also calculate (on-going) your personal standard-deviation.

 

Why not make 'this' thread as a chat room? I mean if that is ok with the mods. I know there is a Lounge section but could we use it as a chat room? Beats me.

 

First off "Teach any win 3 times my bankroll I am happy too win that and luck changes so fast on cash tables .I bank it for a big buy in tournament and take it while I can .. I see players play reckless and reload there bank roll 3 times ..While I say to myself wow he has deep pockets ..

 

Aces cracked in cash game ..Everybody keep the small pairs and overpairs you bet AA soft and they get cracked. As for AK all in any pair your done .It's hard to get a pair and AK, like AQ, are hands people play all in so much and lose too any pair..Teach Me Teach..

 

I have online WPT poker site problem ..How comes it so hard to play pocket 10-10 "s. I have been getting crushed with them like JJ..Any Ace on flop im done . I try 4 bet them and get crushed if I just bet BB then they crush me ..any help thanks all
