My friend, Bob Prancer, has been analyzing the hot and cold cycles of video poker machines at the Palms and the Rio for the last six months. He gave me a long printout, similar to what gizmotron showed on the roulette forum, but I couldn't make heads nor tails of it. I'll just pass along his recommendations.

First of all, he took notes while drinking coffee and watching the age, gender, and height/weight of people playing the video poker machines. He matched specific people to specific machines over a six month period, and what he discovered was remarkable.

When attractive males play a machine for more than 10 minutes and leave, the machine is in a cold cycle for other males, but is in a hot cycle if an attractive woman sits down at the same machine. If an attractive female plays a machine for more than 10 minutes and leaves, however, the machine will respond with a hot cycle for attractive women and older men, but not for attractive younger men. Bob used standard personal attractiveness scales available in most social psychology studies.

Bob has developed a working model for predicting these cycles. His scale is called the Numerical Investigative Cumulative Environment for Age/Sex Sensitivity. It applies only to the Palms and the Rio. Evidently, machines in other casinos do not possess these attributes. Moreover, all of the machines in the Palms have them, but only those in certain areas of the Rio. He is uncertain as to what environmental attributes in the Rio vary enough to cause these effects or lack thereof, but he suspects it has to do with certain visual angles.

More from Bob next week. I will try to analyze his printout in the meantime.

Good acronym for a bunch of weird humor.

Humor!?! Humor???? I'll have you know, my good man, that this is deadly serious stuff. If, on this site, we're going to explore roulette systems, martingale video poker singing, and sports wagering in Nicaraguan currency, then certainly you could give my sophistries some respect (I learned that word by reading gizmotron's posts).

Besides -- prove me wrong, math Nazi (also learned that phrase on this forum). Ha!! Can't do it, can you?

Stay tuned for Chapter Two, next week.

And have a nice day, Dan. I always appreciate a salute to some good sophistry (yeah, the word gets old quick; somebody tell gizmotron).

I didn't say it was wrong, only that it was humorous and I liked the acronym. Maybe no one else noticed it. Best...

Look, if you can come up with a better word or phrase for bull shit that is meant to impress people so much that it is believable than I will gladly over use that word or phrase too. I'm not trying to impress anyone. I'm trying to communicate an idea, and I have found out that the process of doing that is not easy. Please give me a word that fits better. I learned the word for political hacks that deliberately use fabrications (sophistry) for advocacy. Really, the concept of using it is kind of "beyond the pale" here in a forum that could never be disclosed as an advocacy. Sorry for that, I just did it again. I did drag that over used word in here. What is the word for a fallacy that is believable by almost everyone?

Most of you should get the implication here. I think that only some of you can see this. I can't make you see.

Thanks for noticing, Dan. Otherwise this baby would have sat here for years, and I'll be damned if I'm pointing it out.

That was funny. If only you really believed all that then that would be funnier still. Nobody could actually take you serious. They would just pity you. That's all libs want anyway. They are always miserable and want others to join them. They just want free money so they can live their trip free lives. Unfortunately sophistry is not the best way to describe this. This is total shit from a total shit head. o_O

You know, I took a pronunciation test the other day, and the only word I had wrong was quinoa. What kind of commie word is that, anyway?
