I assume that you are aware of the prohibition of recording in a casino's premises.
Each and every rule must serve a purpose, so what's the intention of such rule?
If you go to a restaurant, bar or club they allow you to record as long as you don't disturb other customers.
At the casinos it's not the case, I'm sure they don't do it in order to protect their patrons from unwanted publicity.
I dare to guess that by preventing recording you avoid being accused with video evidence (?).
Actually I don't know what should I assume, any suggestions?

They do in fact do it to protect their patrons from unwanted publicity. They won't let you take still shots too if there are people that would be seen in the shot. It could be used as hard evidence in a court proceeding like a divorce settlement. Children could sue their parents for spending their inheritance. It all comes down to liability damages that they just don't need.

I got permission to take a photo of the eighty seat Rapid-Roulette stadium at a casino near San Diego, California once. It was not in use when they let me take the shot. But I asked first.

Then how Kimo(nas) shooted his winnings inside the Palazzo?
Why the table with the chips on the winning number was empty, nobody around?
Why those photos don't include him, his face?
Why to consider as evidence something which actually doesn't prove anything?
Why his photos don't include date?

Just a few points to make you think about.

I don't give a damn. He shot the chips after the rake. He didn't show his lost chips. No people where in the shot. He might have taken the shot before the dealer could stop him. Who knows. Maybe he let off a cherry bomb as a distraction. Go for it. See what you get. I don't want to be Exhibit B.

It's not something personal but those pics could even not been his, could be from anyone, but even if it's true then how do we know that it's not just plain luck?
How about shooting chips every time a straight up win proves someone's ability of winning long term?
Every time at roulette tables someone wins a straight up number because most of the numbers have been covered with chips from the players, so should they start shooting each one of them every time they win?

My point is it tells me nothing and proves nothing.

Let's say you were someone who doesn't want to be seen in a casino (for whatever reason), neither for others (eye in the sky & players) to figure out your strategy, would you went at B&M casinos and risk exposing yourself and what you are doing??

If attention falls upon you then you cannot hide, but you have to draw their attention in the first place.
I've heard famous actors and athletes to gamble at casinos, do you think they care to be seen?
If they would then they would not be there at all.

It's all interesting. I just don't know or see any proof. It sells books to the unaware. I mean shapes of the wheel for groupings and predicting where the number will hit is good stuff if you need the income from your books. There are sheep to be sheared and seared. It's the guy that sells the picks and shovels that makes all the money in a gold rush.

I think it's the publicity thing! In theory you should be allowed to film but I guess any recorded footage could be used against them in disputes etc?

You agree with what Giz said, but my intuition says otherwise.

If this was the case, don't you think that's a far cry to say the least, casino rules take under consideration first the safety of the property (including money), then the safety of their personnel and finally of their customers.
In other words, it is the least possible reason for casino policy to consider if the footage would be used from an individual against another in a court.

I recall once when one of my won bets have been misplaced unintentionally by the big boobs of lady standing next to me, I've claimed the win to the dealer, the dealer called the pit boss and after explaining the situation again he called the eye in the sky.
After 10 to 15 minutes they return back to me and said: ''you are right''
I've replied: "So show me the money"
Pit boss: "You could ask the money from the lady, it's not our fault"

Aftermath is don't expect others to have your best interest in their consideration.

Allot of the customer/client playing games on casinos floors are business men, Wealthy people and sometimes Politicians.
In that case I think people with those stature are not and will not be happy with video taping their faces.

I think its a matter of privacy act, and to protect the establishment and customer.
Casino are not the only establishment that do this.

Casinos are really concerned about any potential cheating. Someone capturing photos in a casino might be working out some plan for a cheat -- it's possible, and it's certainly happened in the past. Of course, these days, someone could also be streaming live video via camera -- imagine a guy sitting with a long telephoto lens pointed at a poker table and streaming via Wifi to a smartphone to an associate of someone else in the game. That kind of thing is another reason, but even casing the joint for a cheat is possible.

There are a bunch of bloggers filming their game in slot machines, there are cameras throughout the gaming establishment, and there are also cameras with cameras for all visitors to the casino. What can not be filmed on camera? Today, shooting is the norm, and video shooting can no longer be proof!
So many video editors and craftsmen make a fake)

Security purposes.. they don’t want anyone recording precise locations of all the cameras or using video surveillance to study security protocols used by their staff.. and of course the obvious, cheating.

It's because of patrons who do NOT want to be in the shot, especially without their permissions or even acknowledgement. For instance, a YouTube Slot Uploader not only shot HIS slot, he did a wide area shot and...There were multiple people in that wide area shotvwho were just minding their own business and quietly playing and had no idea that they were even in that shot. A Gambler mentioned how incredibly pissed they would be if they were one of the unsuspecting people in that video.

Here in skippy town we are pretty safe from harm at the actual casino. But I really object to being filmed by the randoms and I would say at least 90% are just off the boat tourists, but somewhere there is room for error and as a rule I will tell them to stop , delete and if they dont I do get security. If they do stop, I tell them to wait until Im out of shot then they can continue and not call security. I am fully aware that security staff can also be a risk via eye in the sky but as of yet have not had a reason to suspect them of compromising my safety. Yes I do see the happiness of shooting a fantastic win etc , as long as im not in shot Im all for your personal enjoyment. I guess it comes down to individual mindfulness , and across all age groupings thats not a big practice at our skippy town casino.
