Intro Michael Dalton

Hello everyone and happy April Fools Day! Now, having said that, let me introduce myself. My name is Michael Dalton and I am the author of the book Blackjack: A Professional Reference (also known as the Encyclopedia of Casino Twenty-One). I also published the newsletter Blackjack Review during 1992 through 1998. I am retired now having worked for NASA for over 31 years.

My website http://www.bjrnet.com is still up and running although it is in dire need of an overhaul. You will also find the complete contents of my book online here -- which is available for free.

I am essentially retired now although I still sell some product on my website and occasionally give advice from time to time. I still enjoy playing and beating blackjack occasionally but I much prefer poker today.

Hello! Let me re-introduce myself. My name is Michael Dalton. Publisher of the Blackjack Review Network at blackjackreview.com. Many of you may know me from BJRnet.com which hosted the original site and from Blackjack Review magazine, which was published from 1992 - 1998. In mid-2016, after many years of neglect, I decided to revive and expand the site. The site is now secure and runs under Wordpress software. It is the culmination of hundreds (if not thousands) of hours of research into the casino game of blackjack and card counting.

Hi Michael. Welcome to GF. Just took a quick glance at the site and liked what I saw. I will look more extensively in coming days when I have a bit more time. I particularly like that you are in the "keep it simple" camp, as am I. As a mid-level professional BJ player in my 14th year, I get really annoyed at the many so called experts pushing or endorsing higher level counts, some with side counts. That is just not beneficiary in today's BJ games. There are so many more important things to focus on than squeezing a few cents (if any) from a so-called better count.

I just read a little of your bio. NASA to blackjack. I don't know.....I feel like there's a "it's not rocket science" joke in there somewhere.

Anyway, again, welcome to the forum. Hope your presence leads to more BJ discussion here.
