How much damage do the fiction writers do?

I think we have all seen it on all the boards that we read, there are those that write nothing but fiction. Some of this has to do with our so-called DI's schools when it comes to the game of craps!

I do not follow any other form of gambling in the casinos but I'm sure every other game has their share of fiction writers.

Now when it comes to the game of craps and all of the stuff that they have written that is nothing but fiction, we have the casinos taking counter measures that effect everybody that plays the game of craps.

The casinos even went so far as effecting their own bottom line when they made their tables so bouncy that the dice will not stay on their tables. What they forgot was casinos make their money off of rolls per hour. If the dice are on the floor they are not making money! Talk about bad casino management!

So that is just one example of a countermeasure that didn't work out for the casinos. They cut their own throats by making the tables that bouncy. When all they had to do was to look at a slow motion video of what the dice really do when they hit the tables. The cold hard facts is the dice do not stay on axis when they even hit the tables. Let alone hitting the back wall. Once they hit the table they are bouncing all over the place, without having the table so bouncy that the dice can not stay on the tables.

Here is a bunch of slow motion videos that you can watch to see what I'm writing about!

These should get this discussion going!

This guy found 172 videos on throwing the dice or dice control and put them all in one spot for your viewing pleasure and he surely saved me a lot of work!

Lets not forget the one guy that had the best set-up for dice control, Aaron Hightower who went the extra mile to try to prove that dice control either work or it didn't. I have to give him a high-five for all of the work he put into it.

Now how the on axis DI schools get their students to believe in what they are teaching, this one video should explain it. Make sure you watch it.

The tables with the 5-Diamond backwall will really knock the dice off-axis! Some tables have a very soft/bouncy backwalls that will also send the dice spinning upwards and off the table, or right back at you so that they come to rest near the stickman.

Here's how craps' fiction writers can damage real craps players chances in a Live casino - this post by Mad Professor in his thread At the Tables With the Mad Professor, posted on Sun, Aug 26, 2012 on his ghost-town of a board (Link below) ... Rolling my eyes and SMH  smilies inserted to emphasize fiction:

Mad Professor implies that as long as you do not hit the back wall and instead aim for "the non-alligatored bottom-lip" that your toss is not randomized and your influence is greater ... the videos posted above proves how this is fiction in that the square dice RE-randomize almost completely when they hit the table EVEN if they DO NOT hit the Backwall-Alligator .... and that is "the simple truth"

Furthermore, this fiction becomes widespread in Casino crews heads and they apply much more heat to finesse players or players trying to influence the dice than is really necessary .... in other words, Mad Professor's fiction has caused undue heat on the Dice Community

I have gotten mega-heat at MGM for only hitting the bottom lip and the dice dying right at the base of the backwall (they will call it a short toss). The boxwoman screamed and threatened to take the dice away from me every time my dice did not bounce off the wall, and eventually called down a supervisor to end my play.

I have had other stickpersons and boxpersons tell me that the dice have to bounce 'OFF THE BACKWALL' to some undetermined distance that seems to be arbitrary and totally discretionary to the personal views of the boxperson or stickman. I have had one dealer who said that when my shot hits the seam of where the backwall and the table meet and bounce out, that is an illegal toss! They really want the dice to hit he diamonds.

I have also seen many times the boxperson say that the shooter 'slid the dice' when the dice are softly thown underhand and just land at the lip of the backwall with no bounce.

The dice hitting the diamond backwall will absolutely re-randomize any on-axis unrandom toss. The bouncier the backwall and the table, the more random it will be.

You might find a table and crew that lets you toss soft and just to the backwall lip, and if you do play it while you can! However, that is very uncommon and most likely won't last long.

The above videos tell the truth. Once the dice hit the tables they are random, without even hitting the back wall. I only wish that I had dealers or boxmen calling a no roll when my dice didn't bounce back far enough for them, before the roll stopped.

They would most likely be calling a 7 out a no roll. They had a tub table in Palace Station casino for a while. The table was so bouncy that you had a real hard time keeping the dice on the table. So you had to make a real soft shot to even keep the dice on the table. It was one of those sit down tables that they were using as a stand up table.

There were times that your both dice would not hit the back wall and the one dealer would call a no roll even if you dice came up on the 7. Now some of you would think that it would be a good table to play on, but it still wasn't because it was so hard to keep the dice on the table.

Sad as it may be some casino managers do not have a clue, as to how a craps table makes money. Casinos make money from the rolls per hour on any craps table. If the dice are on the floor they are losing money. If they are chastising and harassing a shooter for not hitting the back wall with both dice they are noting but fools. I would still like to know how the shooter managed to stop one die when the other one bounced back two feet!

I recently stopped playing at one casino when they were harassing a 90 year old for not hitting the back wall on a 14 foot table shooting from table end! He was just picking up the dice and trying to make it to the back wall sometimes one die would not hit the back wall and they were threatening to take the dice away from him. That finally did it for me. If they were that chicken shit about a player getting lucky and making a few points, there is no reason for me or any other player to play at that casino!

Yesterday,.. I was on a table where the guy was just picking up the dice as they gave them to him and making his shot,. Again he was just getting lucky and started in on him, telling him they were going to take the dice off him if he didn't hit that back wall with every one of his shots. Here in Vegas, when it is raining the dice have a habit of doing some very strange things as far as stopping and making right or left turns, when they hit the tables. It was raining yesterday as it is right now. Everything here on a craps table gets sticky when it rains here.

Most of the time that the back wall come into play is when anybody is getting on a roll and one die does not hit the back wall. The casinos are using it as a form of harassment, trying to stop the roll!

This all come back to where it all started and that is when they came up with that there were dice influencers. That could take hundreds of thousands of dollars a year off the craps tables, all they had to do was take one of the DI schools classes. These fiction writers found themselves a niche they could fill. So they started writing about becoming a so-called DI.

Now I've met most of the guys that write about becoming a DI, and they are all selling a class or a book or in some cases themselves. A few are nothing but a pathological liars that feeds off of what they write and having other players respond to what they are writing.

How could one fiction writer,..never be seen in a real casino, while claiming to hit casinos here in the states along with the ones he says he plays at in Canada. That has been going on for over thirty years and no one in the DI community has ever been on a table with this guy, how could that be?

That fiction writer says that he lives in Canada and plays there. Guess what, none of the players that play in the same casinos that he says he plays in has ever seen him playing. They even go so far as saying they have no DI in the casinos they play in!

On the board that I help run, we put up a forum for the Canadian players, so they could have a place to post about anything happening in Canada. Wouldn't you think if you were a real DI and you posted on boards in America, that you would take it upon yourself to start a forum on the board that you post on the most, so you could help out your fellow countrymen?

If you love all the attention you get just because you are setting the dice, then you must love all of the fiction that you reading on theses craps boards. Face some cold hard facts, if it wasn't for these fiction writers the casinos wouldn't even think about how you were throwing the dice.

But because these fiction writers have made all of these outrageous claims to fame saying that they have a SRR of 28 and they are taking hundreds of thousands of dollars a year off the craps tables. The stupid casinos are now running off good players that are nothing but losers. They are so stupid that they don't pull up the information they have on the player that they are running off. That would show the guy is a loser that is just getting lucky when he got on the roll that he is on!

These stupid casinos believe all of what is written on the craps boards and in some of the self promoting books that are out there. Before a DI class is even over with, they are promoting the next class they are having. They don't make their money on the craps tables, they make their money from the suckers they suck into their on-axis DI bullshit!

One thing any con artists has going for them, is that most suckers will never admit that they were taking. Nobody wants to admit that they were a sucker!

    superrick,

There is a lot of psychology when it comes to gamblers, and many people want to be the "Hero" when it comes to picking wins and winning. Everyone loves a winner, and being a winner is very important to many people.

Ego comes in to play when the shooter makes the point and thinks that they have dice skills, when the slot player pushes the button at some 'magic moment' that they pick out of thin air and wins they think they have magic, or when certain rituals are done at the table to bring the Blackjack and a blackjack comes think they have powers.

Some players become so fanatical about what they think brings the wins, to the point of chastising/avoiding players who play differently than them or don't believe them. Some people form clubs/cults out of these fanatical mystical beliefs about having special powers that bring out the wins. Some even go so far as to write books on how to gain such powers and others put on seminars where they teach you how to achieve such powers.

    But, does it work?

    No.

I have been tracking Random as well as so called DI shooter for years. I have not found that DI shooters have any better hands than random shooters.

But if DI works, where is the proof?

Show me the players who live solely off of DI Craps play. There aren't any! NONE!

Yes, there are many PRO Craps players that do well with craps and make on average 6K a month in profits from the wins. I personally know a man who has been doing this for 17 years, and he does not use DI or even shoot the dice himself if he can avoid it. He actually would rather have a random roller shoot than a DI shoot the dice.

I know there are those who say DI/DC doesn't work but have also said they used specific sets to hit certain numbers. If they are using specific sets to make certain numbers, isn't that a form of DI/DC?

Pressit - those that are selling that dice control works preach that their snake oil of a certain way to toss with a certain set will give you certain numbers and ignore the influence of what I refer to as the 99 Factors of craps. To do so is FICTION. A few of those 99 Factors of craps that also influence the dice outcomes include:

    1. Mathematics and Probabilities - Whether you set the dice or not, the probability of rolling 6 or 8 with fair dice is 27.78% (10 of 36). That is basically One 6 or 8 rolled every 4 rolls ..... if you use a set that is supposed to give you a 6 or 8, you may actually roll a 6 or 8 every 4 rolls ... but so will a random roller using no set o_O

Can you snipe that 6 or 8 with your specific set - sure 1 out of 4 times .... That is not dice control, that is simply probabilities

    2. Quantum Physics - this area as taught by Debbie Soft Touch can not be ignored in the Dice Influencing arena, yet Frank Scoblete and GTC would ban you from their message boards if you even discussed it for years - why, because it was a valid cannon ball size hole in their dice control teachings !!

    3. Gravity and Physical Science - IF you are playing with unbalanced Casino dice, then Mother Nature will have more to do with the outcome of your toss than any dice control toss mechanics. Message Board CONTROLLERS like Heavy, Mad Professor, Irish and Frank Scoblete again would try to "control you" or ban you if you ever discussed the possibility of casinos employing unbalanced dice or percentage dice (per John Scarne).

... why were these on-axis dice school message boards afraid of these discussions and continually sabotaging and locking down any thread that discussed such -- Again, because the issue created a cannon ball size hole in their dice influence or dice control business model.

Harley you stopped at #3, but why stop there? #4 Mind control. I know a whizz at backgammon who confided (with a straight face) in me that he uses mind control to influence the dice. He wins far more of the time than average should. #5 Magic Underpants. Mormons wear magic underpants (which are embedded with Masonic symbols) to ward off evil spirits and bring them good luck. Maybe Frank etc do too?

    A few years ago - over on " www.crapsforum.com " - there was a certain individual -

" HardEight " was his screen name -

    A " Philly Boy " -

He was playing mostly at Parx and or Sugar House casinos in Philly -

HIS explanation for HIS losing sessions was -

    " MAGNETS in the TABLE " -

Placed there by " THEM " to influence the outcome of each and EVERY roll -

WHEN " seen fit by those above " -

As " I " promised " Harley " we are finis with the back and forth BS of yesteryear -

When we met face to face a week or so ago -

I WILL NOT say any more about this than I already have -

    Regards " Unbalanced Dice " -

ALL that " I " have to say regards that matter is -

" IT IS What IT IS - DEAL with IT - OR - go play " BINGO " !

And bring your bell - so - YOU can ring it when the caller exclaims -

OK, so there's the proof... Mitt's Magic underpants work! Now I suspect that could also be the main reason for Frank Scoblete winning kazillions with dice...

I don't use an on-axis toss, PARR, never could master all it's finer techniques. And as SR clearly points out on-axis goes out the window as soon as the dice hit the table. Howard Rock n Roller, maybe one of the exceptions.

Now I am a big believer in LJ and Magic, and so far has proven profitable. Been using Majic for 7 years and LJ @ 5 years. True my casino outings are limited, once a month to the local casino in Cherokee, and 3 a year Vegas trips. Love Vegas. The Cherokee lobby carries a lot of power, which has stopped other Indian tribes from opening their own casino...local politics.

Heh, Pressit, Are you speaking of Cherokee Casino in North Carolina? If so, That is The Casino that I Normally frequent. Bouncy Table Conditions, but the Nearest Venue for me. Only problem with Cherokee is that their Tables are "Jacked Up" to $15 Minimums IF you want a Sparsely Populated Table to play on. When I was there about a Month ago, they had one $10 table(Which was Packed elbow to elbow), & everything else was $15, or $25 Minimums. The Murphy casino is scheduled to open in either July or august. Supposedly it's a much smaller Venue than Cherokee, but I'll be Looking at a One Hour fifty Minute commute, as opposed to the Current three Hours fifteen minute Commute. Regarding your statement about RocknRoller & "On axis" Tosses...... Howard is NOT immune to the same Randomness that everyone else Experiences when their Dice hit the Table. Perfect pitch Control does not keep the dice On Axis once they hit the Table. In my honest opinion(been doing the DI'ng thing for almost Seven Years), The Mechanics of the "Toss" is Controlled(Minimizing Bounce, somewhat), but There's VERY LITTLE influence going on with the Results. at least NOT consistently. The Math of the Game is Brutally Real, & that's for ALL So-Called "Elite" Shooters. The "Elite" shooters are getting their money off the Table in a timely fashion. If TRUE influence is being Exhibited, why Regress after one or two hits? Sure, the Regression puts you in profit mode pretty Quickly, but the "Elite' shooters can't CONSISTENTLY Hold off the Hand ending "Seven Out". It is what it is. When experimenting on a Real Table, & NOT a Practice Rig, You'd be absolutely astounded by What You'd Find. I'll put it this way: "It aint Pretty". Superrick busted Everyone's Bubble when he Professed that "On axis shooting was Bullshit. The truth is sometimes hard to swallow. all I can say is This: Thanks Superrick for Rescuing ME from the "Yellow Brick Road". What's TRULY Embarrasing is that I've had a Table in my garage for over 6 years. You'd think that I'd of Figured out the "OBVIOUS" on my own. It's NOT Rocket science. Lastly, let's not leave out "Harley' for his Endless Contributions about educating the General public on the Cheaply manufactured Dice the casinos are using. I'm not gonna say the word "Biased", because it opens up Pandora's Box, but Quality Control on these dice that are Prevalent in MOST Casinos(Especially the Indian Casinos), leave a lot to be Desired. Okay..... I'm done With my Rambling.

Yes that be the one and only Cherokee. Bounce city. Every blue moon I venture up to The casino just outside Charleston, WV, in the town of Nitro.,LOL you can't make that name up to build a casino. They only have 2 tables and more than likely the won't open the second table until the weekends. the tables aren't bad, medium bounce normally $5 min. It is a pretty depressed area in general. The only thing Nitro has over Cherokke, are the dog races.

Mark V, You have to realize why we have so called random rollers, they were developed to keep the so called DI’s following the teachings of the different Craps schools. Before the DI thing came along everybody was just shooters.

Then the schools needed to separate the so called DI's from everybody else and they accomplish this by telling everybody that if they bet on anybody that didn’t set the dice they would lose money. It worked like a charm for them, they even got the casinos to believe it.

But if you track everybody that picks up the dice you will soon find out that these random rollers are doing the same type of rolls that the DI's do.

All you have to do is look at who holds the world record for the longest craps roll, that’s right a so-called random roller. Now here comes the funny part, the on axis craps schools tell everybody that she just got lucky. But when it comes to one of them having a good roll it’s nothing but skill when they have one.

Practice rigs and even if you are so fortunate to have access to a full size crap table to practice on, are no substitute live craps at the various casinos with each having their own unique individual characteristics, the noise, the dealers barking, drink girls, drunks, smoke, etc. Having said all of that, I don’t see practicing to be a problem, just be aware the results in areal casino setting will be different.
