Out of a clear blue sky the following idea for a new craps play occurred to me (at least it's new to me):

It's a one roll bet that the number you bet on will NOT roll; sort of the inverse of midnight, yo etc.

I suppose all numbers could be bet on, and the payoffs calculated accordingly.

The thing that would likely make it unpalatable is the need to bet a lot to win a little; I haven't done the math to set likely wager amounts and appropriate payouts, but if for example you pick "six," you'd probably have to risk about $30 or maybe a bit more in order to win $5 if the six does not roll, which of course is most of the time.

The bettor keeps his wager plus the winnings if the number does not roll, and loses it if the number bet on is rolled.

I doubt it would ever play in Peoria, let alone Las Vegas, but hey, maybe there is something new about craps under the sun?

    I like it.

Gambling presents us with endless possibilities. It's too bad for them that the "mathletes" get hung up on the gimmicky. Then again, they might really go nuts, or be dangerous.

    Really?
The amount you have to bet for the tiny wins would be unworkable.

I realize many might not want to risk a lot to win a little, but to a lesser degree that is exactly what happens when laying odds on the don't.

For it to work the casinos would have to cut the HA a lot tighter than it is on midnight and aces.

For that matter, I wish American casinos offered "place to lose" bets: another arrow in a dark-sider's quiver.

Here is most popular points to play Carps :
    1. Do not bet big on other shooters. Save your money to bet on yourself.
    2. Only make the lowest house-edge bets so that the game is as close to 50/50 as it can get.
    3. Keep a separate account for your gambling money.
    4. Make your bets low in comparison to your total bankroll.
    5. Learn how to become a rhythmic roller.

    Why bet only on yourself?

How does one learn to become a "rhythmic roller." whatever that is?

The only feasible way to do this would be on Bubble Craps. Live dealers/box men would get fed up with it if I have this right and you would too. Seems like a lot of work to barely get to a very small profit and then when the inevitable disaster comes you're looking for help but it's not happening. Sorry if that comes across negative but that
    S my true feelings.

put all math aside and listen to some "real good advise"

    1) look for a DI shooter and find out what his regular numbers are when he / she rolls
    2) Do a mini martingale on that specific number.

Example: I see a regular shooter at the local casino consistently rolls Yo (Eleven). Simply keep betting a mini martingale on that number till he rolls it. 1 chips, 2 chips, 3 chips ... 10 chips, eleven chips... etc. Chances are he will roll that Yo Eleven within the first five rolls.

Repeat the process with all the regulars... now go out there and make money... F#$%K the MATH bullshit!!!!

There is no such math or house edge when you "Bet with the regulars" it's just pure profit.

The casinos use math to beat you. You know that. So why do you gamble?
Did you know there is math that beats the casino math? Even on the "Field bet"

Field bet has negative expectation as per math. What math can change it to positive expectation? Please elucidate.

I call my system "Mikes Ladder" The reason it beats the field is so simple. Wish I would have thought of it 30 years ago. I was terrible at selling things on the internet then, I am sure I am worse now. Be on the lookout for "Mikes Ladder" Probably should not hold your breath for this. When I get a list of 10,000 more or less I will give everyone a free copy of my system. "Mikes Ladder" Asking only that they donate 1% of their winnings, or $100. My goal is to make a Million Dollars. Everyone's Goal Right! If you have any other Ideas, I am all ears. I have only talked about my system on two forums, This one and one other. I think they kicked me off the other one, Not sure, could just be server trouble.

I have digital Craps software to run tests if you want to test it over millions of rolls.
