Sure i know what it means, i have only interest for this way. But people are not looking for being an AP, they want to dream and to gamble. To be sure, just look at Bj s mates, does "Beat the Dealer" made everyone count cards?

They are shooting for Memorial Day weekend.. we'll see.
I've got connections too you know (grins). There's still lots to do but I'm sure with
the right motivation it'll be open on time.
Trump Castle, Plaza and Taj where the only places I would go - one by one they
were gone. I've adopted Parx in PA but it's just not the same at all.
I'm curious how Hard Rock will do

    Jim Allen

    Pfff.
    You got a 1 BILLION dollar casino/hotel for 10 million - really ?
So it needed a lot of work, sure - but c'mon

You were going to send that to me - remember ? Because I loved the place so much and wanted a piece
of it / wheel for memories - you said something like "Ed, you're a good friend - I'm sending you the Starburst".
I clearly remember this happening, don't weasel out of it ! lol

AC is coming back a bit.

I don't like the way the casinos are herding people to the big electronic terminals connected to the live wheels. Much of Penn has the same type of community gaming. The Asians love it, but they'll gamble on anything, even the video versions of bac and roulette.

The Plaza was cool. I've got a million stories from that place. The crazy fights that we used to see, the salty passive aggressive dealers, the piss poor management, the feuds between the pit and surveillance that last for months, guests that would refuse to leave their rooms when it was time to leave...the place was a disaster. For years it looked very nice though, and it was a gold mine.

One of the stories involved the time one of my trackers accidentally burned down a keno machine. Burned down as in it caught fire because a spark from a cigarette managed to get down into the machine and catch the papers on fire.

    Ha!

They're heavy. One of the cheapest yet over priced wheels on the markets. It's an expensive hubcap! The difference between it and a hubcap is that some hubcaps are better made. LOL. Quite beatable though. Let me know if you need to see any assembly details/pics from it.

Oh great, I'll keep my eye out for it - I already have a spot prepared for it too !
    lol.
Oh well, I tried - can't blame a guy for trying.

In all seriousness though, God forbid you want to unload it - let me know first.
I do want a piece of that place for memorabilia and what better than a wheel that
was used there. I'd probably pay too much for it and not care - that's me. lol

One of the wheels from Taj (standard deviation graph)...Only 7576 spins, but it had a chi of 113. The Plaza used to leave these wheels in place for many years. It used to be insane there.

Each day when a wheel was opened, the pit boss was required to do a tap test on the frets and the pocket inserts using the ball. I'd go in and sit/stand next to the wheel as they would do it and I'd listen for the sound change indicating the loose energy adsorbing frets and inserts. The pit either didn't know what it was that they were listening for or they just didn't care. It was a great opportunity to find and verify the wheels at the time.

I have really doubts about Pelayos sucess, what do you think about it?

The way they could declare a bias from 300 to 2000 spins maximum, the way they don't take into consideration the tow direction of the ball/rotor, the way they don't care about rotor speed, the reason why he left to USA to play wigth bigger disadvantage.

I was thinking it was more an advertising to catch some sheeps that'll dream.

    Sharp,

There have been several teams far more successful than Pelayos. For example, in the US, Billy Walter's team. Pelayos was largely Spain. In Spain that kind of success was impressive. In the US, not really. They only became famous because of their gaming dispute. They fought the casino in court and won.

You can declare a bias on site if you're looking for it via defect spotting. If you're tracking numbers blindly, then it requires a lot of data. The stronger the bias, the fewer the spins required, the weaker, the more you'll need to track. Of course you need spin direction.

When i read this, i thought it was just gambling, not bias play. I didn't see anywhere that they was using defect spotting... I understood they used data to declare bias via 2000 spins simulation and haven't seen they use data only to confirm a potential bias.

As the casino staff is also into gambling fallacies i was wondering if all this staging was not more an advertizing to bring "sheeps" to the casino or to sell derived products...

It happened, and yes online casinos use such events as a way to excite people.

Biased wheels are a very real, and have been exploited since the invention of the game.

I don't doubt at all that biased wheels exists, a wheel cannot stay "pure" and new as anything else. But it's just more logical to see something "not normal" on the wheel and try to confirm it with datas than tracking wheels blindly as you say from 300 to 2K spins and win.

Sometimes i wonder if that was just not gambling (luck) than real bias. Have you checked what was the SD of Table "A" for example?

Do you mean have I tracked the standard deviation of numbers and the chi square?
