This is just one example. Let's say a player is positioning $1,000 on Bank/ Player, $100 on high payout bets like Dragon/ Panda or Tiger/ Ox or whatever. Maybe they want to put $10 or $15 to cover tie because the are playing in a flurry of ties or tie lines or whatever.

Not because some casino math whiz whose idea of good PR is photobombing a Denny's sign or a basic cafeteria says there's no edge in tie.

That $10 - $15 from time to time might face their high payout bet allocation. Or they could say fuck it and never ever do that. Who cares? That is how some play tie.

According to the value of the card remaining and at a moment in the shoe, Ties have great chance to come out and with the payout it could produce an edge.

 

Very well. Either way, when it comes to high payout bets there are two primary schools of thought:
1. If the casino offers it, it can not be good.
2. It can have substantial positive impact if played correctly.

I didn't read it because I do not want to review anything about theoretical value, edge, expected value, etc. in baccarat. As an experienced player, it is out job to assess whether a baccarat shoe is showing anything and everything and be ready for anything and everything to develop. I have seen countless shoes that sit there for quite a while unplayed and then develop to be one of the hottest shoes on the floor a few hands later. Most can look at a shoe and if there are no high payout bet wins like Dragon or Panda, etc. hitting for a good amount of hands then those are not good shoes to play if that is what you're looking for.... yet you will find other players still piling on to those types of bets for those very shoes.

General rule is that it is smart to forgo early high payout bet wins because they might not show up for quite a while and then start to strike if they start coming in. There is a huge difference between a 1 Panda/ 0 Dragon or 1 Panda/ 1 Dragon shoe and an 8 Panda/ 3 Dragon shoe.

MY OPINION IS BASED ON THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF HOURS OF ACTUAL PLAY WHERE I AM SURROUNDED BY A SUBSTANTIAL NUMBER OF BACCARAT PLAYERS PLAYING THROUGH A SUBSTANTIAL NUMBER OF BACCARAT SHOES. I have watched this player's videos and learned a good deal. He does favor tie positions. This is Crockfords in England. Like he says, this is a very prestigious house to be invited to play at.
