The reasons Beyond Counting is rare, is that the casinos game security made changes that make most of the info in the book moot.

Some years ago in France, there were BJ tables with early surrender against Ace. Though, yes, in general trend, BJ rules and conditions are getting worse. So, these days, BJ players may need more sophisticated theory and technique. In this point, there may be some demand for Grosjean's book.

    Susumu ...

What are you hoping to find in this book? The Holy Grail? LOL You got to know that NO HOLY GRAIL for gambling exist

Read this article about Grosjean http://www.wired.co.uk/magazine/archive/2011/01/features/casino-killers

There is a lot of info in this article about how real advantage players operate, though there is a lot missing too for obvious reasons.

"" Grosjean calculates the perfect play. "I know more about these games than the casinos," Grosjean says later. "It's fun to figure out games and beat them. My major was applied math, and that is what I use." ""

The above statement is partially what is needed, the other part is is keen observation and patience. The vast majority of degenerate wannabe advantage play gamblers won't have that and most cannot even wrap their heads around applied math.

On ebay there is a guy selling "Notes on James Grosjean's 2009 Book Beyond Counting Exhibit CA" and the price is reasonable. However, I think if you are observant and willing to study the game math, probabilities, payouts, and of course how the game is operated - you can figure out everything James Grosjean is doing.

I found the notes on Exhibit CAA incomplete; missing lots of important info when other players who own it mention key pieces of info/stats about certain games. Gave me some ideas though.
