“Trump taxes show chronic losses and years of tax avoidance,” was the banner headline on the paper’s website on Sunday. The president’s tax returns have long been the holy grail of American political reporting.

The president “paid $750 in federal income taxes the year he won the presidency”, the paper reported, adding that “in his first year in the White House, he paid another $750.

“He had paid no income taxes at all in 10 of the previous 15 years – largely because he reported losing much more money than he made.”

All western democracies have one thing in common. They’re what is known as “Liberal Democracies.” Simplified meaning there are checks and balances on executive power and have fair and free elections concluding in peaceful transfer of power. It should be no surprise to anyone that DJT and some of his allies are proponents of what is termed “Illiberal Democracy.” Simplified meaning a strong executive branch with few checks and balances. Apparently some here prescribe to the later. This is a slippery slope and first cousin to right or left leaning authoritarian governments. But hey, Putin enjoys a 60% approval rating; as long as his supporters are prospering. That should sound familiar. Be careful what you wish for. Illiberal Democracy and various types of authoritarian rule is a breeding ground for unrest and even revolt.

I think economic turmoil is on its way no matter who is in office. With restaurants only operating at 50% capacity, homes being forclosed, jobs lost, etc etc. I mean look at the price of a damn piece of plywood! I could care less who wins. If trump wins, the Antifa and left extremists will riot, and if biden wins it may just make extreme right winged groups decide enough is enough.

Also nobody is talking about the elephant in the room. If we look at statistics, LEGAL immigrants vote 2 to 1 for democrats. Minority groups do the same. They also reproduce at a higher rate as well.
