A tough way to make $10 average a shoe needing $5000 bankroll. After commission of 5 % on 1900 units ( round up to 2000 units ) Banks at $20 a hand average would produce a break even proposition.
Correct me if I am wrong because I could be.
Probability with OG wins it but ODDS of the game took it away.

I don't have an OG spreadsheet. I have a little program that just puts the P and B in two column vertical "scoresheet." I got to put everything else in by hand! grrrrrr. I've had this for over 20 years. That's how I do my testing.

    Sorry

Don’t think of it as $10 an hour. Think of it as $385 an hour or more.

you can turn $5,000 into a million in 260 days or less by just making 100 units a day. I calculated it at 10 hours a day, but it wouldn’t take me 10 hours/20 shoes to make 100 units.

About the 2 shoes salesmen sent to India to research and make a marketing report.

One came back and wrote - No potential market. Nobody wears shoes! Cannot sell.

The other wrote his report - What a fantastic huge potential market. Nobody wears shoes. Huge untapped market.

I listened to hundreds of business proposals. Did not invest in some which went on to be humongous success. Invested in some which went on to be humongous success. Invested in some that were huge failures.

Everyone has a chance to make a success of their beliefs. Or just watch, read and do your maths on the computer. And hold your piss (peace; I really don’t know which is the correct word to use)

I just elaborate on the 200 shoes that JustbeRich posted. 1900 units profit. That's close to $10 per shoe. The highest drawdown is close to 4000. he suggest using a 5000 bankroll. So, how can you turn $5000 into $385 per shoe?

    OG is a calculated risk.

I’ll explain how I’d make $385 per shoe.

First I should mention one thing about justberich’s tests. They aren’t accurate. I believe the return is, probably slightly less, so we’ll say 8 units or $8 per shoe. His excel program isn’t really reforming the grind properly, sometimes when it’s meant to bet 2 units, it might be betting 78 and getting into an even bigger grind because of it. With that said, we’re still going to use a $5,000 bankroll, and we’re going to aim for 100 units a day.

that’s after commission. 100 units cleared.

the real hump is the first 50 days, but after that, our bankroll is now $10,000 and we increase our unit size by $1.00. Now we are making $200 a day. This takes 25 days before we can increase our unit size another $1.00. Then 17 days later we can go to $4.00 a unit. I’m sure you can see where I’m going with this. I did the figures all in my head earlier when writing my reply to you, and I believe it comes out to 260 days to make 1 million. I multiplied 260 (days) x 10 (hours) and divided from a million was $385 per hour.

If I were to actually perform this to show that I can make one million dollars from a $5,000 bankroll, I would give myself one year instead of 260 days. Because I have a few phases where I wouldn’t increase my unit when I could, instead I would split my bankroll in half and create a backup bankroll just in case I ran into a big loss. At a certain point, I will have several reserve bankrolls built up. And from the very beginning I would probably start with a $1,000 bankroll, that will take me 10 days to double it. If I fail, I still have 4 backup. It’s actually a little time consuming to explain all of my breakdowns, and while I’m sure a bunch of people would love to tell me it wouldn’t work.... I know first hand it works. I’ve already done it :)

Unlike Rich’s 200 shoes that I’m 100% sure were miscalculated and tested in a random order, and by that, I mean, they were probably not tested in a method of the actual timeline he played. He probably just has 200 random shoes from an online casino. My shoes are real casino, live dealer and in chronological order. I have a casino phone dedicated for work days so that the only people who call me are those closest to me in case of an emergency. My phone is not as accurate at filing away all of our shoes, as I do this at the end of the day and my gf uploads everything into excel. Here are over 16,000 real photos of real shoes from my past 3 years of professional play.

crazy thing, and none of these sessions have busted a 2,000 unit bankroll.

What I meant by calculated risk is you do due diligence, survey and the Human Resource issues and only invest with a clear mind whereas gambling is at the mercy of the cards.
As I have said before you are like someone playing with 11 steps Martingale that haven't busted yet. Hope when that days comes you already have amassed many times a bankroll needed to start over again. Do you have a stop loss> I mean a FUll Stop and write off that loss.
Mine is $25,000 with a $25 unit bet. So far getting close to 15 yrs I am still perfect with no damage to Master Bankroll. No intention of increasing my unit. Prefer to win in the dark.

We’re currently 7 hours into our session right now. This is what we’ve cashed in for profits so far today. That’s a little over $11,000 in cash. The thousand on the screen isn’t profit, the 300 is, the 20.35 is from a friend in Missouri who has a hundred dollar investment piggybacking on is. My best friend has $2,000 of profit in his pocket. We are currently about $7,000 away from today’s goal.

That’s awesome dude! Seriously. We try and play in the dark as much as possible too. Basically we try and cash out tickets before they hit $3,000. If we are grinding, it’s hard as it’s easy to accidentally go over. These are two examples from tonight. And what happens is it takes 15-40 minutes to
Get paid, they take our players card. I could write a full post on our methods to lose on paper, but to give you an idea, after a player has to cash out over $3,000, we keep tabs on it, and I’ll possibly explain how we try and bring that number down in the future if there’s any interest.

our current stop loss is $250,000. Which consists of a 2,000 unit bank of $100 units, and a 2,000 unit bank of $25 units that we use in a secondary grind bet that we do. While I fully anticipate that we could lose the $200,000 any day now as I feel like we are just way over due, I don’t think we’ll lose the $50,000 anytime soon. It’s not played a lot, but when it is time to put it to work, it has more staying power than the $200,000.

Hell, I’ll just explain before anyone asks:

when we are in our normal grind, and the grind carries us over to another shoe, say at some point while we are in a grind, the new shoe goes -20 without taking into account the precious shoe. We start a side grind with $25 chips. We do this about once or twice a day, and it typically wins about $900 after commission when the series is resolved, which helps the bigger grind in its commission, if that makes sense.

every 10 or 11 days of play, gives us the buying power for another $200,000 bankroll. We currently have $600,000 in an investment account as 3 backups. We’ve stopped putting cuts of our profit in there a couple months back and right now, everything we make is ours. We split everything evenly 4 ways. And to give an example of what we make individually, in April, I racked up $126,000 for just me.

gotta go, getting ready for another grind.

Nice Jae. Your personal experiences would be inspiring to many. Could you also elaborate on the sacrifices and hardships behind the scenes lest our warriors here think you are taking a walk in the park.

    Time permitting.

Just got home from my first casino session today, started with $10 unit size and a 1000 unit bankroll, after your post about 2000 units surviving for all those shoes. I’m considering whether to drop to $5 units and then at least I’ll have a 2000 unit bankroll. It will take a bit longer to build it up but seems safer. The super 6 as they call it here pays 15-1 and I also considered putting a small amount on there for the bigger bets. I had a shoe today that won on six twice while in a deep grind and betting over 20 units, worked out alright and still made good profit.
Anyway I didn’t come on here to brag, I actually wanted to say thanks again, not a lot of people come on here and actually post their method of playing and answer questions like you have. It takes balls to post a system and back it up so I feel that deserves respect.

    High five bro!

Slow and steady wins this race.

I didn’t know you were jumping in with $20,000. It’s definitely smarter to start out with $5 bets versus $10. While OG is relatively easy to understand and learn, I could say the same thing about counting cards. I can teach someone high/low card counting in blackjack in less than 2 minutes. But that would just be the basics, then of course I’d recommend being able to count an entire deck down in less than 30 seconds. Practice their division skills, etc. and then practice, practice, practice. And then even when a counter goes off to finally play, they usually don’t go with a sufficient bankroll. To properly count cards, you need at least 1,000 times your small bet. So in order to play a $5.00 minimum table and handle the swings, a real counter needs to start with $5,000. This just rarely happens, most people start with less, it fails and they move on to another strategy, or play the way they used to. Same thing applies to baccarat, you need sufficient bankroll, which you have. And I’m sure you’ve probably been practicing OG on test shoes, and we’re obviously comfortable enough to go into live play. I don’t know if you are flying solo on this venture, but I hope you are mentally prepared for a big drawdown. Seeing big drawdowns on paper testing is so much different than in person. I’m not sure how you are tracking the tracking regression, but one thing I haven’t talked about here, is note taking. In big grinds, we make notes off to the side that calculate our next bet for whether it will win or lose. It really helps if your unit size is a weird denomination that requires longer input on the machine. It’ll be easier with $5.00 units because you have a dedicated chop button for that denomination. But if the run looks like -337 betting 42, while the mental math is easy for some, it can be easy to get caught up in the moment, trying to subtract or add that to your numbers, while only having 30 seconds or less to have your next bet out and make sure there are no mistakes. And while that doesn’t seem complicated or hectic, it can go on for an hour or more, and so every 30 seconds making simple math additions or subtractions just open a huge window for small mistakes. So my advice is to just take it slow your first couple weeks, maybe set your win goal to 5% a day or even smaller. Move around between shoes, keep yourself focused.

I seriously wish you well and look forward to hearing about your trip reports if you decide to post, which I encourage you to do so.

    -cheers!

Well done Andrew. Super 6 bets can be profitable sometimes, at other times they are few and far between. The thing to remember IMHO is that they are most likely to occur in banker runs, and are usually associated with ties. When there is a tie, a banker 6 win often occurs within the next few hands, and vice versa.
