Feedback The Hypocrisy of Allowing Threads about WOV, VCT, not TP

Most everyone who has posted on this thread has been on my side.

Only the two links at the end of my Adventures of MDawg and MDawg's Stock Trading Adventures threads were directing people to [removed] solely for the purpose of directing them. All the rest were, just like the links, quotes and references to VegasCasinoTalk and WizardOfVegas, simply content related. Why not link to another forum instead of repeating what exactly was said?

Over all, this forum's traffic was in the toilet before I started my threads. It was only during my threads that traffic rose to (for this forum) record levels and for the first time surpassed WOV traffic. And now, Admin simply fears that traffic will be directed away from them once again, due to my popularity. It's a fear based decision to suppress some links to another forum, is all.

The mods or owners here are correct to be suspicious of your intentions to promote yourself.

And if someone wants to go deeper into this, why wouldn’t you just copy and paste anything you post on that site here under your thread? How much time does that take?
Why are you so upset about the inability to direct traffic to that site?
Your crying makes it seem you have a vested interest in directing traffic to that site.
Why not disclose who owns that site and any personal or financial relationships you have with the owner or owners of that site?
And if you don’t have any knowledge of who owns that site, again why the concern on the inability to link to it?

I've skimmed this thread, Mdawg initially had a few valid points, permission to post a link, isn't permission to litter the place with the same link.

I’m a fan of mydawg, I read his posts on the nameless forum and also on the other forum then he posted that he was putting the same title thread on this forum . I have since stayed at this forum and do not read the other forum. I found it was becoming convoluted switching between sites. As posted previously I’m now not wanting to tax myself adding new links etc.

I’m of the opinion he likes a posse that hitch up the wagons when he’s had enough somewhere and now say let’s ride. Fair enough. He enjoyed getting the gratification of “getting more traffic to this toilet” fair enough.
Whether he has skin in the game or not re other forum, personally I don’t give a dam. If he choose to no longer post here imho is no big issue either, as I said I don’t switch out between forums so the traction of his adventure thread here is of a moot value as he has not maintained regular updates this forum.
So if he leaves, apart from this thread and a few posts on wiz dying thread , sad bickering between himself and another lol , he’s not really offered much of late and hardly fits the “ administration fears me” . Perhaps if he had built the momentum for continuing posting “engaging content” then launched into this current dialogue he’s now running it may seem plausible. But it appears to me someone trying to flog last weekends old fishnchips off as a lavish meal.
This forum has a huge silent majority readership, they were here before the dawg and will remain if he leaves or not. There are any number of threads here that have an astronomical number of views and one should read the room before stating one particular poster is the sole reason for the uptick of traffic to this “toilet” . Perhaps you could put the seat down on your way out.
Personally I don’t like advertising as posted on a number of occasions .

Of course the fact that Admin keeps responding in a long running schizophrenic, obsessive manner (something like 100 words for every 1 I post), including long after they declared that they would not longer respond, shows how much they fear me, and that I am bringing up new and valid points that they feel compelled to debate.

Fact is that they granted permission and then reneged. If they hadn't done that, nothing more would have come from this and it would have been a settled, in the past, matter.

I was given permission and I posted two links. That's it. I actually didn't ask for permission for just two links, but that is all I posted.
The URLs were later mangled by some devious Admin to make them resolve to nowhere.

When I pointed out the mangled URLs, the Admin claimed that whoever had granted permission should not have done so, reneged on the agreement, and removed the two URLs I had posted - completely!

ONLY THEN after they reneged did I figure, well, f. these guys, and started posting more references to [removed].

Don't buy into their revisionist history. Everything would have been jake if they hadn't mangled the URLs or reneged on the agreement.


As far as fearing me, notice how obsessive they have gotten with removing even the MERE MENTION of the name of this other forum... and the varieties of conflicting theories they have come up with for their actions. That I posted too many links? That it is my forum? That it is not my forum? That whoever granted permission no longer works there? That whoever granted permission should not have done so? That referring to the forum by name or content is okay, but not via URL? That it is okay to refer to a forum's contem

There are plenty of posters this forum I can’t abide by , but I always acknowledge any valuable content they provide therefore I have equally the same take on dissing someone I do support if they are posting dubious content.
