that's the initial progression template (work from here, modify, refine its parameters)
    +1 on hit
    -1 on no-hit
    top+1, after no-hit(s) having a hit = previous top progression amount +1

    example on your outcomes

Here you had 19 games in this session of 114 spin, with (+45) overall profit, & max drawdown of (-45).
    Profit ratio 0.394736842units/spin.

As you can see you bet less (& less) when the variance is out of favor,
& load more when it turns into your favor (top+1).

But you can definitely improve on that ..
    • first-off, you wanna reduce the max drawdowns, & drawdowns in general ..
you accomplish the with betting as much as the game ask you to profit (=new high)
so, minimum betting & nominal profit principles

.. meaning, after a hit, you regress
when the exposition is lower .. than the progression amount according to the standard template,
you re-adjust that amount to as much as its necessary

thereof, if you hit the game is closed in profit, & restart ..
or when no-hit, you have a lower base to progress from again
(in case its heading into a longer unfavorable streak = lower drawdown)

    example:
    (±0) bet 1, no-hit
    (-1) bet 1, hit
(±0) here template suggest 'bet 2', but bet 1 is enough to profit

    (±0) bet 1, no-hit
    (-1) bet 1, no-hit
    (-2) bet 1, no-hit
    (-3) bet 1, hit
    (-2) bet 2, hit
(±0) template suggest 'bet 3', but game doesn't need that to profit ..
bet 1 is sufficient to (+1), restart
utmost, if you had really bad run in previous ganes & profit/spin ratio is below long-term average
you 'can bet 2' to catch-up .. but the bad run might prolong .. discretionat=ry call

    • second off, 2-3 hits to profit
according to the above logic.. & at higher drawdowns .. you can think a few steps ahead

when exposition a bit higher, & suggested amount (hit) + next amount +1 (hit)
would bring the exposition close to zero, with the third amount to close in nominal profit
being disproportional to the first two

example, the third game from the last, going from (+29 to -16 to +40)
first two hits brought the game from (-1 over +11 to +25, with +41 as the new high)

according to the point one, on the third hit only an additional 5u is required to profit (+30),
so eg. 'bet 5' instead of 15 (.. what if that's no-hit, where does that place the game ..
    exposition to recover from)

    but further, you can .. as mentioned .. think a few steps in advance;
series of 3x same EC is a quite often even .. with higher exposition you can
distribute the amount over three hits .. adjusting the progression amount to that

let's say the template suggests 'bet 15', but the exposition is (-31)

    from -1 to +30 is .. 31 units difference
    9+10+11=30
    10+11+12=33
    ..
10+11=21 +10=31 ..so here you have both above points working together

    • third-off, the use of a divisor
rather than progressing deeper & escalating drawdowns
you can break the debt into chunks, now requiring more hits to finish in positive

    eg. (-50)
    51 = 16+17+18
    51 = (9+10+11) + (10+11)

I was doing nicely with +1-1 until i hit this lot ideas?
LWW at this stage 38 up LWLLLLWLLWLLWLLWLWLWLLWLLLWWLLLWLWLLL at this stage i was-67 i then had 5 wins on the trot which took me back to 33 then LLLw which took me to -13 then 2losses which took me to -60 then WWWW which took me to a new high If the bad run had continued i would have been in big trouble. My largest and last bet was 27.

Have you used 'top' = after a no-hit, or a series of them, reinstate back to the top amount?

    .

    There's one principle called a divisor = basically requiring more hits to finish;
this gets activated after a certain exposition amount (you decide) .. to prevent vertical progression (vp) from going higher than designated & escalating, thus limiting/reducing the 'exposition increase rate' & preventing it from escalating (rather quickly after a certain amount)
some rare individual games will thus get longer 'till the nominal profit, or nominal new high' (always restart on a new high! .. by now you know why already) .. & reduce a little bit the long-term average profit/spin ratio -- in exchange/return the impact will be lower 'average & max expositions', & thus, as well the 'bankroll requirement' -- which in turn will allow you raise the base unit higher quicker, to make for the lowered profit/spin ratio

    Basically;
rather than pushing vp (& 'hoping' all will be well), you 'take control of the game' by so-to-speak dividing the debt, or dealing & handling the outstanding debt with more hits (at a lower vp & exposition increase rate) .. awaiting the variance to temporarily turn in-favor. Makes sense?

    .

    Also;
the true value of a system/method is found & gets stronger .. when its stretched over more/multiple districts (EC,DZ,..).
See the DZ example in the link posted quoted here, as an introductory example.
Betting DZ (1st or 3rd) instead a (H/L) EC, on occasion, to begin with, will reduce the amount bet based on what is required (=what the game asks to positive) .. & thus exposition =keeping the drawdowns recoverable = game in control.

    .

    & finally;
what @Nathan Detroit preaches a lot, & rightly so, namely 'rat-holing'
never reuse the profit chips → in the pocket, to cash out only
in other words, always use designated bankroll only
the profit made from each individual game goes towards the session goal (whatever -- again, you decide)

As soon as a new high = individual game finished off in profit = restart, to whatever base unit you are using.

@twibble I've looked into you case in detail, see the linked sheet.

    .
    (vp = vertical progression0

    1. modified to [±1,top]
    • ≠top+1, should reduce max game expositions
    2. adjusted, on hit
    • rather than 'top' .. later on adjust accordingly to exposition
    • so that 2, 3, or 3+2 hits give you nominal profit
    3. threshold, determine discretionarily
    • exposition cap, at which point you switch/transition to 3+2 hits; without exception
    • further max exposition reduction
    4. incremental vp increase rate
    • not jumping vertically too high at adjustment
    • rather transition to divisor, or more hits to finish
    5. in-risk progression dimension
    • include DZ bet, or another gear, in your betting scheme
    • when you are to bet EC H/L & the last outcome is in the 1st/3rd dozen, place DZ1/DZ3 bet respectively

Twibble, is your sequence below correct? If you remember, what sequence happened after the final nine losses?

Okay, I have found it best to skip losing sequences. In any near 50:50 game, 87.5% of wins will be on the first 3 attempts. So if I lose 3 in a row, I wait for a re-entry point and fight for the remaining 12.5% of wins.

    I don't really like +1 / -1 but I will play it below

    L -1
    W +2
    L -1
    L -2
    L -3
    L (pause)
    W
    L
    L
    W
    L
    L
    W
    L
    L
    W
    L
    W
    L
    W
    L
    L
    W
    L
    L
    L
    W
    W
    L -4
    L (pause)
    L
    W
    L
    W
    L
    L
    L
    W
    W
    W +5
W +4 (back to zero, I would probably drop to 1 unit)
    W +1
    L -1
    L -2
    L -3
    W (pause)
    L
    L
    W
    W
    W +4
W +3 (back above zero, I would probably drop to 1 unit)
    L -1
    L -2
    L -3
    L (pause)
    L
    L
    L
    L
    L

We ended at -4 but we are still in the game. Another example below.

    L -1
    L -2
    L -3
    W (pause)
    W
    L -4 [first re-entry I bet only once]
    L (pause)
    L
    L
    W
    W
    L -5
W+6 [subsequent re-entry attempts I bet up to two times]
    L -5
    W +6
    W +5
    L -4
    L -5
    W +6
    W +5
W +4 (above zero so I would drop to 1 unit)

When I win a re-entry bet I then wait for 3 losses in a row before I pause again.
