THREE WEEK RUN? No wonder you're not keeping up. But you guys certainly did when I didn't start so hot.

Dan's downfall is he bets anything and everything that floats across his computer screen, because he wants to be seen as some sort of "pro". He's doing slightly better than I am in the NFL, but not so great with his others. The big red flag is how he's going BACKWARDS in NFL picks, and I'm going FORWARD.

    Comparing streaks---In the last 6 weeks I've had two 3-1-1's, three 4-1's, and a 5-0. That's 23-5-2. Yeah, a bit better than Druff's start.

    So redietz: who's da man?

I should have put these in the same post.

Currently, I'm 37-16-2. I haven't been tracking my win/loss but I'm sailing along on the plus side. I've also hit my Lock 4 or 5 weeks in a row.

From what I can figure, Dan is sitting at 37-14-1.

What sets us apart is, you rarely see me whine about "how I almost won if this team didn't screw up"! or "I would've won if this or that didn't happen"! As a sharpie, I understand losses AND wins sometimes occur by a razor's edge, and good bettors just roll with them.

BTW---dont tell anybody, but if you want some sage betting advice on tonight's game, I DONT HAVE ANY! But we are going to the game. It's only 9 miles from here. SF -8 is a bit much for a visiting team, and Jimmy G., even with that stunning array of offensive talent, is so up & down. I can't trust him, and if Murray plays you never know what you're gonna get. Pass on this one.

I have to admit, I’m shocked you would show your face in Mexico City with all those beaners. You don’t seem like the type to travel down there just for a football game. I certainly wouldn’t visit Mexico for any reason. Hopefully the tickets you bought were cheap.

But congratulations on the record! I still don’t believe you will hit 68% but you (and Dan) are on runs ANYONE would and should be proud of. You have every right to gloat over the numbers.

Both are tremendous records -- as good as I've seen ATS in the NFL to the end of November. The best I ever did for a full NFL season wasn't close, as I was using both totals and sides and not taking five games a week. I wound up 24-12-2 in my best season percentage-wise.

They are to be commended and congratulated. When people win, you should root for them and congratulate them.

    Remember that I said that.

Oh, and this is for Boz and Punk and Mickey and whomever --

Northbet is doing some U.S. World Cup promo where if you lose up to $200 on side, moneyline, or total on games involving the US, they reimburse you with free play up to $200. I don't bet soccer -- ever -- but I'll bet this. I don't even know the rules properly, which is bad because one of my partners actually officiates high school and college soccer. But I can't pass up a free lunch.

I'm not going boz because I'm not in tacoville. I expected red to figure that out. I would never go to Mexico again, of course. Even with all my "fake guns" and "fake money" :)

I've got 7 more weeks to go. I'll beat Dan too!

Singer just got caught in a lie again! Actually did it to himself...again! He saw the Arizona Cardinals listed as the home team and lied and said "we are going to the game", without realizing the game is in Mexico. When Boz pointed out that the game is in Mexico, Singer just tried to play it off. But it doesn't work that way. He hung himself, yet again!

I will say Rob's record over the past few weeks has been impressive. And being just over the half way point of the season, such a run, puts him just about at his target goal. It is highly unlikely he, nor Dan Druff will be able to maintain that kind of percentage. But I am man enough to say congrats to Rob for his run and record to date. Kind of a shame he wasn't really betting money.

Getting caught YET AGAIN in such a blatant lie over-shadows his good run though. Of course Rob's answer to getting caught lying AGAIN will be to attack me. What else is new.

Last time I was in Mexico was with my late friend John Mucha. People assumed we were drug dealers (what can I say -- it was a few years after Miami Vice and we looked the part). We visited Matamoros just because it was featured in the book "The Matamoros Cult Killings." Americans kept getting mysteriously kidnapped and showing up dead, sometimes chopped up. To demonstrate our good judgement, we had dinner at the exact restaurant where Americans had been seen for the last time. Had a nice dinner -- not many diners, but such is life. When we came back through the US entrance, John was lugging some wooden cabinetry with all kinds of compartments. They are supposed to check such things. John walked it through -- nobody checked nothing. I was amazed -- we just looked the part. The Rio is so small there, you could literally throw a kilo across it (if you had a decent arm).

I really need to revisit Matamoros one of these days.

Now I have a wager I like a lot. A real lot! Current division prices have the Eagles @ -375 and Cowboys at +310. As a big Eagles fan, I can't believe I am saying this and Boz will not approve, but the Cowboys are going to win this division. I placed a $500 wager this morning at my on line sportsbook, but intent to place a much bigger wager here in Vegas up to $5000, if I can figure out how and where. (don't really want to put big money at the online sportsbook).

So Redietz if you are reading or anyone else that knows, How do I make this kind of wager in Vegas? I don't see it on the board at any sportsbook? Do I just ask if they have odds on this wager?

Reasoning: Eagles (9-1) have only beaten two decent teams, the Vikings and the Cowboys without Dak Prescott. I have known since before the season that the second half of the season was going to be much tougher for the Eagles. I believe they will lose to the Cowboys (7-3) in Dallas,, will lose to the Titans, will lose at least one game to the Giants and have games against New Orleans and even Chicago that aren't guaranteed wins. I am not even sure the Green Bay game is a guaranteed win. Meanwhile besides the Eagles game, Dallas has games against the Titans and Giants remaining that look like even remotely possible losses. The Giants game is Thanksgiving and Dallas always wins the Thanksgiving game.

And as far as tie breakers, if it comes to that and I don't think it will, if the Cowboys beat the Eagles like I think they will, they almost assuredly will have a better record within the division due to the Eagles loss to Washington (plus remaining games against the Giants).

I hate making this kind of wager against the team I root for, but I really feel like there is money to be made here at these odds. I can still root for the Eagles to make the playoffs (I think they will). The one game that will be very difficult for me will be the actual Eagles-Cowboys game. I feel like That is what this wager really comes down to and the Cowboys at home @ +310...can't pass that up.

Just go book to book and ask for a printout of NFC divisional odds. Don't ask for a specific team. Those odds may not be available until Tuesday or Wednesday morning. Start at Circa or one of the Circa satellites (Tuscany has one, for example), make sure you check Westgate, and then also at the Plaza (William Hill) and South Point. If you're going to be halfway thorough, check CET and MGM also.

To be honest, I bet Dallas to win the NFC offshore about a month ago, some at +1000 and some at +750 a week later. Not sure what current NFC odds are right now. I liked the way they looked when they lost to the Eagles. Eagles have recruited some defensive line muscle, which they needed, so they will be better on defense.

The to-win-NFC odds are likely crap after Dallas hammered the Vikings, so the divisional may be the better option. Not sure.

In Rob's poste earlier, where he lied about going to the Cardinals game that he thought was Arizona but actually is in Mexico, Rob boasted that his daughter's house, where Rob "stays", is 9 miles from the stadium, a boast he has made before so, I guess he thinks that is impressive.

Well Rob, I live less than a mile from Allegiants Stadium. Although not a fan of the Raiders, I have been to a couple Raiders games (Eagles were in town last year), half dozen college football games, and a couple concerts. We can and have walked, which is actually a very pleasant and safe walk, but usually will take the car service from our building, you know the slum building Rob says I live in. All slum condo building provides Cadillac Escalade concierge car service don't they? Coming home we will usually walk up the strip stopping off at a few places to have a drink.

And T-Mobile Arena where the Golden Knights play....even closer. So sorry to burst your bubble Robbie, but 9 miles doesn't impress anyone. :p

I did not take them to-win-the-Super Bowl because the likely opponents at the time appeared to be Buffalo or KC. And Dallas figured to be a significant underdog (-150 or more) to either, but the SB odds were only slightly twice the NFC odds. So I stuck with to-win-NFC.

Anybody can win the NFC. Some days Prescott looks goddawful for a quarter. I think he has some warm-up issues. Elliot being hurt for Dallas was a blessing because it elevated Pollard to a do-everything role, and he's tremendous.

Last note: Jimmy G is indeed a guy who can assassinate you or make the one or two horrific decisions that turn games around. He is, however, capable of multi-game stretches sans brain dead mistakes, so he is a horse you might ride in the playoffs. Really, they have as much skill position firepower as anyone. Actually, more than anyone.

Rob, I am alive and well: my health is currently not problematical, and my wife is hale and hearty as well.

No "hideous disease" issues at the moment either, but hey, we all know that our fate is a final dirt nap, we just don't always know when and how.

I'm taking a bit of a pause to refresh but plan to post again regularly some day when the mood hits me.

Meanwhile I'll remain mute while you continue to tilt at wind mills and try to clean out these Augean stables.

Red, every great team has a bad day. This week Minnesota did. When the Bucs won the SB they lost 38-3 to NO at home. Then KC got humiliated in the SB. So I wouldn't put too much stock into Dallas. They have yet to prove themselves. Remember they lost to TB 19-3 at a time when we were just seeing an ugly TB offense at work?

Kew, you're just like a predictable lost little girl. I said I was going to go to tonight's game because I thought the game was here and we always get tickets last minute at or outside the stadium since I don't care how much they are. After I realized it wasn't I expected redietz to come on and correct me instead of an infrequent poster.

So you're congratulating me now? You mean, no "waaa....waaa....waaa....you probably aren't really betting these games" nonsense? Instead, you show your obvious uneasiness in my exceptional record by rooting for me to do poorly the rest of the season. Just keep staying tuned. You may squirm as required.

Who cares that you live in that dumpy, noisy and lacking-in-privacy hi-rise a mile from the stadium? It's probably known for its gay tenants. My daughter's house, which I bought for her and which you don't like, is close to our stadium, and in a far more desirable area and neighborhood than that chaotic area you inhabit. I told you, your only chance of living in a single family home is if you find another stupid sugar daddy--just like last time. Too bad he croaked and your clan had to move out into that little thing you're in now. :)

Please keep following my and Dan's NFL picks, for further PAIN. I suggest you ignore all his other sports betting follies though.
