    Hi all,

As someone very new to this game I have found some...no...LOADS of scdepticism from my wife about my gambling. She worries about me having an addictive personality, which is fair point considering my somewhat chequered past!
This past four days my profit stands at £419.00 which isn't bad considering my betting levels. (10p-£2.00 tops on initial bets...not including progression).
I found this evening however, I said jokingly "I'm off to work". She seems to be coming round. (Which woman wouldn't when the money is coming in!!)

Thing is, I told her I was starting off with my £57 profit ans told her when after an hour or so I had reached £119.
Somehow though, I felt this was putting some pressure on myself to win instead of relaxing. I was happier when I knew the bankroll was there to be lost if need be and she was unaware of it. I have explained to her that there will be losing days. Guess I'll have to see how she reacts then.

Do any of you guys do this or have you experienced a similar problem? I certainly won't tell anyone outside the family but I am open and honest with her.

I and my husband have no problem in understanding each other in the gambling question. When we are visiting a casino every one of us takes as much money from our family budget as he thinks will be enought to play but not enought to bankrupt our household. I think that you wife will get used to your "job" and all will be ok until you gamble responsibly.

That's cool. She was a little annoyed when she found I had my first 'bad day' but we are sorting out an agreement where when I win, she puts it into our savings account. There is a system where you can play in pairs, betting on opposite 50/50 bets. Have you guys tried it? She was interested when I told her.

Actually we didn't but it's not the bad an idea. I'm more of a roulette player and my husband likes blackjack more :) Sometimes we switch places just for fun :)
