Do you or do you not look to see on a win if your ahead. If not you increase because you are behind...If ahead or even you go back to your first bet. The only way there can be a positive progression is if you have lost nothing and continue up on a win... Or you play wirhout any consideration for losses.
The only reason I put this out there is who ever came up with this years ago and called it a positive progression made and error all the sheep keep repeating. How positive is it when all your bankroll is gone.
Unforunatly most all gamblers keep repeating the same garbage and that's one reason they can't progress.

Point well taken, Porky. Let me reiterate it. A true PP increases after a win regardless of win/loss to date.. However I wouldn't dwell on definitions. It's largely irrelevant to an otherwise worthy discussion.

I'm not the expert like soxfan who knows everything about everything but I have experimented with many different progressions. I have my favorites and there's a couple that I use that I think are better than most.

My preference is to use a positive and negative element within a fixed progression. That means I will go up on a loss and I will also go up on some wins regardless of w/l history.

It's tricky because ofentimes the NP is in recoup when wins start to come so there's a question of whether to just recoup or increase risk with a PP. Generally there's a lot of variables here so you have to make a subjective decision. So in that sense it becomes a betting and a guessing game.

It's not easy to win but it's not that hard either. It requires a well thought out plan, patience, discipline, consistency and yes, experience.

As Stephen mentioned above there is no sure fire progression that wins this game.

So your betting style is close to D’Alembert?

most NP have an element of D'Alembert. I prefer a staged progression. Here's one that was posted by Chingy on the Roulette board. There's stuff I don’t like about it but it deserves scrutiny.

I get it that yer too stooopid and lazy to do a simple google search. But don't strain yer brain, cuz the Kelly style only work if you have a winnings style outta the gates and that let's you out for a start, hey hey.

That's right Soxfan, blowing smoke!!!!! It doesn't work with Neg EV games. . . except maybe make your bankroll last longer.

We considered Kelly in the 80's with shoe BJ pos EV games in AC. (But then they were using preferential shuffle so the whole point was moot.) Reason is partner team can pool their Bankroll and each player can use that cumulative Bank thereby softening the Variance.

So what's the point of pretending you are using Kelly and suggesting it here? More Bullshit from the Bullshit Bully Boy! You're a phony and a fraud! I've already proved that here in black and white twice! LMAO, You're just lucky nobody pays attention!

    Pffffff

Back to progressions... forget soxfan hey hey

So I was asked to add John Patrick's "Up & Pull" technique to a double dozens bet selection method. So this is what I came up with for discussion:

    first step -- $400 ( $200 & $200 ) $200 for each dozen, take off $100 on first win

    second step -- $500 ( $250 & $250 ) $250 for each dozen, take off $100 on second win

    third step -- $$600 ( $300 & $300 ) $300 for each dozen, take off $150 on third win

    fourth step -- $$700 ( $350 & $350 ) $350 for each dozen, take off $200 on fourth win

    fifth step -- $$700 ( $350 & $350 ) $350 for each dozen, take off $300 on fifth win

    sixth step -- $600 ( $300 & $300 ) $300 for each dozen, take off $300 on sixth win

    seventh step -- $$600 ( $300 & $300 ) $300 for each dozen, take off everything, $900

on first bet -$400 in game
on second bet -$300 in game
on third bet -$50 in game
on fourth bet +$150 in pocket
on fifth bet +$450 in pocket
on sixth bet +$750 in pocket
on seventh bet +$1650 in pocket

...if the arithmetic is correct, that is.

Ever since you lost your ass playing your suicide progression all you do is talk trash and make stuff up. Well, okay, that's all you got, sad. Yeah, we all know you're a jerk but I really feel sorry for you. Living your life hating yourself and taking it out on everyone here. Maybe you should pretend you got me on ignore again?

    Cheers

Can you give an example of how to apply majority and minority with the BAT concept?
