Do you bet for or against trend in roulette? For me, I follow the trend.

 

I suppose it comes down to how an individual defines the trend.
Most people would define the characteristics as choppy or streaky and then either follow what's currently happening most = trend or bet for the opposite hoping for some kind of reversal.

If you are following some type of trend, you can only really lose one bet if the trend breaks. Looking for a reversal can be dangerous because as the trend continues, it's easy to think that it's more certain to break and you could lose a handful of bets if not more.

Following trends for one bet (win or lose) is not a bad way to go if you are looking for a disciplined approach and happy to leave with a few units profit.

 

I agree with you that it is better to follow trends than bet against them. It just loses one bet to break trend, but betting against trend can lose many bets.

I check to see what the effectiveness of for or against trends is working the best. It changes. In RR there is only one thing that kills a session. You can be in a swarm or streak of first bet attempted losses. It can look great, you place the bet, and it loses. This can happen back to back for a while. It's the very thing that happens from time to time and that has almost always led to people saying that trends don't work. The truth is that trends don't work all the times. If you know this then you can avoid the times when it is not working and reduce the damage that this causes you. That is how you take power over the odds. It's how you change things from a blind 50/50 to a two to one advantage. You don't have to pay for the balancing effect of losing.
