I think for the most part WoN intent in coming here has been pretty good. I think he wanted to engage in productive discussion. I know he tried to mediate something with Q-fart on my behalf (I could have told him he was dreaming). Let's just hope that comment was a bad analogy made out of frustration. I have been there.

It must be frustrating that you can't ask for the "banhammer" here. Well you can but most likely you'll be told to grow up.

Then don't discuss it. It's a free world and this is a free site (or almost) as far as moderation. People here want to discuss it.

As a member of that site, who obviously enjoys and supports that site, I would think you would find the numbers interesting and disturbing. You can call it 'bs' because you don't like what you are seeing but the fact is data from several independent sites that track these things, show numbers of daily member visits as well as total monthly views to the site are down substantially from not very long ago. Yesterday's shockingly low member visit number may just be an outlier (maybe the result of a summer Saturday with decent weather across the country/world), or it may further indicate the decline.

As an interested observer, I believe the declining numbers correlate directly to the over-moderation of the site, quick and unnecessary suspensions and bans. Ban's guarantee that the numbers decline. Yesterday's action by BBB is a perfect example of a ban and permanent loss of a member that should not have occurred. She just threw away a member because she obviously didn't like him. The unwelcoming attitude that has become more than obvious is over-whelming.

If you have a different hypothesis as to the apparent decline in numbers, feel free to share.

Maybe you don't want to talk about it or are not interested, but I'll bet Joshua Chan is aware. I have seen he has logged on several times in the past few days.

Kj. I will respond to you woth an honest answer because I repsoect you .
I don't think josh cares even a little- the forum was a throw in, What that site generate is minimal. Do you really think if it gets 177 views or even 900 visitors a day that it changes his profit.
Do you care whether it folds, if it's there it's there and if it's not I'll move on.i am on record saying you weren't treated fair but it's in the past I think you agree it's not getting fixed now.
I use to frequent a food store and used western union to send money to my runners. I spent a lot of money there on groceries and other services . I even donates 100 to the memorial fund for a manager that died and needed help with the funeral. So I feel I contributed, One day I was told my business wasn't welcome . (. One clerk thought I was sending and receiving too much money) I was hurt but I moved to a different location. Just like you did, I respect your points on here and feel you contribute. But can you honestly tell me what Freddy with all his nonstop bashing does?
Just like the person that comes to a construction forum and asks for advice on dealing with an aviation issue, I would be put off, you are on a gambling forum Freddy, if Wov shuts down who caress I'll move on just as if I was barred from a casino.

What's the matter? That little old lady won't give up that slot machine? You know...the one with the super duper payout. The one that spits out money just for you. Gee, you might have to fly another 58,000 miles. Or maybe you can go back to pretending to be a lawyer.

Maybe daddy Wizard will take care of you since you speak for him.

Fact is I played with roger at the taj almost every summer . Want another friend of his Daniel borislow (yes he died last year or two ago also). Want to call Rogers host? Mike from the taj, This is my point --- you are just a hater, you add nothing-
This was back when the taj had the big bac game down in the high limit pit. What are you trying to prove---- and to be honest who cares- you really must just hate yourself.

No I can't and won't. I have said before I am not responsible for what other people say or do on any forum that I may participate. I take responsibility for what I say and post. I have said to both Freddy and LarryS that I think their points are better made if there isn't so much name-calling and more focus on the points. But they are free to do as they please. Freddy must enjoy the way he does it. If you don't....take it up with him....not me.

I really don't know what it is Josh paid for or what exactly he thought it would generate as far as directing traffic to LCB. Nor do I know if he is getting the results he anticipated. A lot of people think WOO was the main attraction and WoV, with it's message board forum was just a throw-in. Maybe that's the case...maybe it isn't. Do you know he also recently purchased BJ21 and BJ21 is only a blackjack message board forum.

I personally would be surprised if message boards comprised of mostly or many AP's, people that only want to play with an advantage, are going to generate a lot of traffic to online casino websites. But this isn't my business, so maybe I don't know. I hope Josh is getting what he anticipated. I am just making observations as a former member of WoV (maybe even a bitter former member) that views, visits and participation appear to be rapidly declining. And personally, I think that is a direct correlation to the over-moderation and unwelcoming attitude there that has sort of had a little spot light shown on it recently.

Sure I care if it folds. I invested a lot of time and energy in the site. I did that for my own enjoyment yes, but also because I hoped to help newer blackjack players by sharing my experiences, just as other did for me, on other sites not long ago. Now with the current situation, the enjoyment of participating has been taken from me (and I believe unfairly, so I make my case).

But I still have the goal and hopes that my participation can be a benefit other newer and probably younger players. BJ21 is notorious for it's archives. New members sign up just to read through years and years of archives and are able to benefit from members that are no longer participating or have even pasted away. WoV has a little less of that going on. For one, it is not purely a blackjack or AP site, it is that among other topics and the "other topics" is much more about current events, so I don't think there is a lot of archives hunting, but never the less it is there, so there is still the hope that I can benefit others even though I am not allowed to participate there.

As for agreeing that it is not going to get fixed now? More than likely not. Each day feeling get hurt a little more and both sides dig in a little deeper. And I have contributed to that. But it's not impossible. No one has been killed or maimed. That may be a bad choice of words, because it is not a suggestion of any type of violence or threat. I am just saying, there is nothing earthshattering that would prevent, a fair resolution should both sides decide they would like to swallow a little ego and come to such a conclusion. For the most part there is peace in Northern Ireland, when that looked unlikely not long ago.

You regulars keep on bashing the WoV site for the fact that it is in decline. I joined this site because I was directed here by DeMango. Except for Mickey's AP slot retelling of his life, the Lounge has been the most active site on the forum. There are less posters here than on the WoV--Freddy, Lovepotion9, KJ, Larry, Mickey, Mighty Mike and occasionally Mr. V, Boz, Redietz. Yet the majority of the posts have been about non-gambling issues, complains, name calling, and insults. I would like for the gambling topics on this site to pick up but the fact of the matter is WoV have many more gambling related topics then here.

I would like gambling topics to pick up as well. I started a thread or two about BJ, but there is just not much interest at the moment. Fact is my knowledge and interest is very narrow and limited (BJ), so I don't know how much I can do. I'll continue to throw something out every now and then and hope interest in the AP/gambling areas picks up.

As for Mickey, a very, very tiny amount of my AP approach involved machine play. What there is of machine play is all video poker and is very elementary and now my partner handles all that. I know absolutely nothing about any machine play other than VP, meaning slots. But I could read Mickey's threads and posts (and maybe a book someday) till the cows come home.

I wonder what that phrase even means. How often do the cows come home and where the hell have they been? o_O

I think it might have something to do with that once there gone they can't find their way back- this you would be waiting till the cows come home
