Craps is a popular dice game played in casinos around the world. Like any casino game, craps has its own unique terminology that can be confusing to newcomers. In this article, we will explore some of the most commonly used terms in craps and explain their meanings.

    1. Pass Line: This is the most basic bet in craps. When a player places a bet on the pass line, they are betting that the shooter (the person rolling the dice) will roll a 7 or 11 on the come-out roll (the first roll of a new round).

    2. Don't Pass Line: The opposite of the pass line bet, the don't pass line bet means the player is betting against the shooter. They are hoping that the shooter rolls a 2, 3, or 12 on the come-out roll.

    3. Come Bet: This is similar to the pass line bet, but it can be placed after the come-out roll. It means the player is betting that the shooter will roll a 7 or 11, just like with the pass line bet.

    4. Don't Come Bet: Again, the opposite of the come bet. The player is betting that the shooter will roll a 2, 3, or 12 after the come-out roll.

    5. Point: If the come-out roll is a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, that number becomes the point. The shooter's goal is now to roll that number again before rolling a 7.

    6. Place Bet: This is a bet that a specific number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10) will be rolled before a 7. The player chooses the number and places their chips on the corresponding area of the craps table.

    7. Field Bet: A field bet is a one-roll bet that can be made on any roll of the dice. It is a bet that the next roll will be a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12. If the roll is a 3, 4, 9, 10, or 11, the player wins even money. If it is a 2 or 12, the player typically wins double their bet.

    8. Hard Ways: A hard way bet is a bet that a specific number (4, 6, 8, or 10) will be rolled as a pair (e.g., two 2s for a hard 4). The payout for a hard way bet is higher than a regular bet because it is less likely to occur.

    9. Snake Eyes: This term refers to rolling a pair of ones, which looks like two little snakes' eyes peeking out.

    10. Yo-leven: Another term for rolling an 11. It is called yo-leven to avoid confusion with the similar-sounding "7".

These are just a few of the many terms used in craps. Learning the language of the game can help new players feel more comfortable and confident at the craps table. So the next time you find yourself in a casino, armed with this knowledge, try your luck and have fun rolling the dice on [removed, pay to advertise]!
