I only stay at the Trop a coupla few time over the years but I'm sad to see it go, especially to make way for a stadium for a professional sports team. I hate sports! The Trop always had a great pool but sadly the owners neglected the property in a bad way. At the very least, I hope that they salvage the stained glass ceiling as that is a real work of art, hey hey.

The one other memory I have of the Trop is sitting in their main bar, having a drink, and enjoying the show as all the hooker would ply their trades, hey hey.

It's definitely bittersweet to see a place with such character go. The Trop had its charm, and it’s a shame that it’s falling to a stadium. The stained glass ceiling is truly a gem—I hope they preserve it too! And it sounds like you have some memorable moments from the bar! It’s a unique vibe that places like the Trop offered.

I loved their stage show: "Folies Bergere", at 50 years, ending 2009, it was the longest running stage show in Vegas history. Traditional Vegas, with 40 beautiful bare chested ladies. Long legs. All smiles. Tall feather hats. I even dated one for about 6 months when I lived there 35 years ago. She was a real sweetheart, down for anything.
