The problem of course remains, that what you might have earned in 10 or 20 years, makes no difference if you can't get a game after 2 or 3 years.

For that is what blackjack is about in today's world. Finding ways to be able to continue being allowed and able to play.

But I am now done wasting time on the know-it-all Moraine, who talks to himself in the third person.

As shown in the screenshot below, this happened in 2021 at a forum where Moraine's opinion on Illustrious 18 was intolerable and must be deleted. The thread was on 7-7 vs. 8, and Moraine wrote: "IGNORANCE IS A BLISS. HALF- BAKE IS DANGEROUS. Either use Basic Strategy only or know at least 80 indices for career protection. Illustrious 18 is 18 Illustrious indecent exposures if you use only those 18 indices. . . ."

Soon afterward, the following message appeared:
"I'm going to try to get it, and asshole moraine, deleted. Don" 7-7 vs. 8.png

    Before Splitting 10-10 vs. 5 or 6
Some up-and-coming card counters, after learning the so called "Illustrious 18" or "18 Illustrious Indecent Exposures" often tempted to split 10-10 vs 5 or 6. People at the table may cheer on, or may curse the player out if they lose because of the split. Moraine is okay with either approach, but has this suggestion:
If the count is high enough to split 10-10 against 5 or 6, the count is sure high enough to split 2-2, 3-3 or 7-7 vs. 8, or 9-9 vs. Ace already. These non-traditional splits will not only help win extra money at blackjack tables, but will also help paint the player as not even knowing the basic strategy to the casino.

Haha, right? That would’ve saved a lot of time! It’s a bit like the idea of simplifying complex things. Imagine if your chemistry teacher said, “Just focus on these 18 elements and forget the rest!” It would have been a huge relief. But in card counting, narrowing it down to the “Illustrious 18” really streamlines things. Less is more, as they say!
