I arrive in Vegas Thurs AM to pick up my contestant package for the Gold Coast Summer Classic. It's a 2 day contest using Win-Place bets only.
You must bet 15 races per day. I'll be playing Del Mar & Saratoga only

I will post pictures throughout the contest

I am currently in 17th place due to 4 winners at Del Mar yesterday. I will post my 15 plays today once scratches come in.

I have been up for 2 hours going over the races, very quiet out here now

Only had 4 winners out of 15 races yesterday, none of them over $8.00 ended up 47th place

I dropped in Friday to check out the contest. I didn't recognize anyone, which is unusual. People said there were only about 200 entries, which means half that many contestants. Just one ballroom. That may be a record low.

The comp buffet looked good, however.

There were 176 entries, wish we had connected. The BCBC and NHC dominate these contests now sad to say. Food was good, I just needed to find 3-4 more winners to have cashed

answer the question...did you grow a vagina(47th place went to a woman)? How unlucky you are to make up 47th place and have that be one of the very few women that competed.
Your name is nowhere to be seen on the list of entrants.

He did the same at the NTRA - forgetting that the full standings were posted, AND that you have to QUALIFY to enter that. Actually posted that he bought in, and you cannot.

his first 3 posts are provable lies
    1-he disnt post pictures
    2-he didnt post his bets
3-he claimed he came in 47th.....Linda begs to differ.

he has to learn to lie with credibility.....these lies are way too simple to catch

    what a dunce

I was there, however, and the food looked pretty good. I think, as opposed to years past, they took a chunk out of the entry money. Previously, all of the entry fees went to the players, plus they added some daily prizes. Now they've tightened it up, which is the wrong thing to do when your numbers decline. It's the wrong reaction.

Totally agree, and they raised the price to 500 for the Summer Classic - and the HPWS to 1500.

I did not know the World Series went to 1500. Wow. At first, I thought it might hold down the multiple entries, but realistically, probably not. It just restricts the contest to the people who have no qualms about paying for multiples.

I wasn't in the contest, so I wasn't going to poach the food without an invitation. LOL -- I'm not that much of an advantage player. I have friends who enter these things on a regular basis and who usually qualify for the NHC, so I drop in and socialize a bit. But nobody I knew was there.
