There is a certain energy and a most certain truth to the game.

The game has a life of its own.

It cannot be changed, it cannot be told what to do.

It runs through fields, climbs hills, rests, drifts down hills, rests once again and then just might take off in strictly one direction and at the end of its pre-decided/pre-destined run, turn right back around and make an equal run the opposite way.

Most of all the game has no memory.

Straightaways, winding hallways, plateaus and mountains. The game will decide when the cards are put into the show where it is going to go and what will happen.

The game of Baccarat at times resembles personal relationships. Loving you or hating you. Giving you chances and only compromised by your own bad judgment or perhaps your influenced judgment by other people. Once again the game tried to offer you chances to reconcile but to your own revengefulness or stubbornness, you financially and emotionally get hurt at times. But in your quest for smooth sailing and reaching that pot at the end of the proverbial rainbow, you continue with hopes of marrying Baccarat's 'lady luck'.

Other card games are just card games, numbers and win or lose decisions. Doesn't really matter how it comes out, no one generally can track anything near the monumental meaning of the cards within a baccarat game. Baccarat is an adventure, a sexual bliss, a mystery defined to many and so misunderstood by the masses. Baccarat is a unique and adventure sucking game that will likely always remain just that.

what an extraordinary description of the game! but if it "cannot be changed", "cannot be told what to do", and "has no memory", then does that mean it cannot be beaten?

Bac is the easiest game to win and the easiest game to lose. People do win and likewise plenty do lose. The game, meaning the shoe, cannot be changed and has a pre-set and predetermined outcome no matter what the players do or think, no one can control or override the shoe.

I will post a trip report from a Vegas visit I just did that was not a gambling mission. Strange and great results, not a huge money maker but a whole different aspect and outlook when I was at the table. Played a little, very little, but reinforces what I always knew and never really practiced, short and little sections, period.

I would never claim to have beaten any game, complacency can be a bad motherfucker when it wants to. I can hold my own and for the reasons Alex-Relax (BaccSince79) states above, I don't bother to look at he score board. I pay no attention to trends, patterns, prior results, pattern capturing techniques, although the latter can be good.

Too many players are stuck in the old mentality of playing to the shoe, starring at the score board looking for guidance and inspiration, players have done that since the year dot and it's never worked for them, yet still they persist because they don't know any difference. As for me, I recognized over a decade ago it is purely a money management game, how best you handle it, through the good and rough times. As for bet selection, I apply proven mathematical coin toss statistics, because that is what the game is basically, a coin-toss.

Yes absolutely, to a certain point. Shoes will be strong, weak and everything in between. Some shoes will hold every patterns and trends throughout and other shoes will not hold anything and lastly, other shoes will bounce quicker than a crack addict needing a fix.

Here is my analogy after 35 years of playing. Compare baccarat to the highway you regularly travel, the one almost everyday. Now, think about how you know all those spots the cops always sit. When you don't see them in those spots, you have the tendency to speed up and 'cheat' with your 'advantaged knowledge' of the roadway. You do it all the time. You get away with it all the time. Then all of a sudden when you least expect it, that car with the polished wheels and the dark tinted windows, no markings on the auto, no overhead lights, all of a sudden lights up the red and blue flashing lights in the grill, the mirrors, the widows, etc. It is now about 2 feet off your bumper and you look at your speedo, 20 mph over the posted speed limit. Same as bac.

Exactly, which is why those old tried and tested approaches don't work and introduce too much unnecessary frustration.

It doesn't matter what you see, what you observe, what you think, what your gut reaction is, the next hand is 50-50, always and forever. So why waste emotional energy putting yourself through something of which there can never be any true value, it doesn't make sense.

I can only assume no one desires to really talk about anything on here except how WOV is a piece of shit which I totally agree with the lez beached whale, etc., but that's all soap box drama, good for a laugh. Just my and only IMO this website exists and excels at slamming WoV. ????? Almost 170 pages of that, but no one discussing the gambling???

Go for it, the most knowledgeable Baccarat person on the entire internet will engage you, which is me!

Regarding WoV and the whole crew, those 170 pages have believe it or not, resulted in subtle changes taking place, so it worth it.
