The heart of the game are usually strategy specialists that explain the game based on scientific facts & their experiences.

Dear poker authors, please feel free to say 'hello' in this thread, introducing yourself and your (e)books. I am sure there will be a lot of cooperation/marketing/help requests as soon as you are listed here.

    Let's go!

Hi. I'm a mathematician and poker coach. I wrote The Math of Hold'em with Collin Moshman.

This book is aimed at poker players, not mathematicians. We introduced the math poker players need to get an edge at the table and away from the table, from odds to game theory to tournament equity to variance to bankroll management. We concentrated on the most popular variant for the past few decades, Texas Hold'em.

Authored the "Poker Journal" years ago, helpful especially to newer poker players, a way to document their sessions, make important comments on their play, articles, poker tips, etc.

Price of book $13.95 per book (Now FREE, Just Pay Shipping and Handling)
shipping and handling (packaging and post office run) to USA and Canada, flat rate of $6.00
shipping to outside USA and Canada, flat rate of $10.00

Hit the contact me button in my signature and I will provide a paypal account for the payment and ship the book FREE to you. If you want more than one, fine, increase postage cost, stronger envelope I have already will hold two books. Add $3.00 or $5.00 (Europe) extra for additional book.

Australia and some countries it might be more expensive (not my doing), wink!

I'm the author of Positive Poker - published by D&B - with commentary by Jonathan Little. It's available at amazon.com and if you don't already have an account at audible.com, you can sign up and listen to the audio version (narrated by yours truly) for FREE!

I'm also a contributor to Excelling at No Limit Hold'Em which is due for pre-order in early March and will be released in June. PositivePoker3.jpg

Hi, DrTricia -- I've also been planning a book called "Positive Poker." I hope you won't think I stole the title from you, since it is a term I've used frequently and is based on my audio lecture "Positive Poker" that was heavily advertised and sold on cassette 20 years ago. Thought you should know. I'll look forward to seeing your book.

Hi, Tricia -- Like most of my promised books, videos, and projects, you shouldn't worry about it coming out in the immediate future. For instance, in the 1990s, I ran ads for six months announcing my "Professional Hold 'em Play by Play" series. I'm hoping to launch it next year. LOL. -- Mike Caro

I remember a friend who used to say that those who go to therapy for gambling addiction are the unlucky ones or the losers, those who win, even if they are addicted, do not bother even if they have the same problem.

In the end a great reality, it sounds with some irony, but very true, so let's make winners.

There is a reason why there is no therapy for winning addicts.

A book needs to be written "If you are a winner you are not a poker addict".

I recall a friend who used to express the notion that individuals seeking therapy for gambling addiction were considered unlucky or seen as losers, while those who managed to win despite being addicted didn't bother seeking help, even if they faced the same issue.

Ironically, this observation reflects a significant reality. Let's embrace the idea of promoting winners.

Interestingly, the absence of therapy for winning addicts is not coincidental.

Perhaps it's time to consider authoring a book titled "If You're a Winner, You're Not a Poker Addict."
