If a player were to use $100 chips would they be considered a 'high roller'
in the U.S.A. The player would only bet with 1 or 2 chips, so I would not
have thought this is a big bet?

Not iin my opinion. Several 500.00 chips per wager. Or larger stacks of black. Depending on the casino and where it's at.

several thousand dollars a hand on a regular wagering basis is started to be considered a high roller.

Thanks for your reply. When players use £100 ($128) chips outside of London the casino's
get very nervous, dealers shout "pinks playing".

The places I play if green chips and below are playing and somebody starts playing with black, dealer will say one time black plays or black on table, just to let the floor person know and they don't make a big deal out of it.

Same thing with pink or purple, once somebody comes out with one or more $500 chips, then they'll say Pink's play and then don't pay attention in the pit if they desire.

When somebody bets table Max, they have to have somebody next to the table from the pit or at least get an acknowledgement to go ahead and deal if one or more people are playing table Max wagers.

Maybe if you were continuously playing over a dozen numbers straight up with $100 chips on every spin of the Roulette wheel.

If you were putting down a single $100 chip on the layout then I wouldn't necessarily label you as a high-roller. Make it a grand per spin on the outside and I'd reconsider.

Guess what I'm saying is its not just having the $100 chips that counts ... it's also how many you have and where you place them when betting lol.
