Sorry but this should have been posted to the craps question forum. I'm new, and not very computer literate. Is there any rule as to WHEN new dice are introduced into a craps game; and the old removed? More specifically, say a shooter has relatively hot roll (20 +) before the eventual 7-out. Will the stick person automatically take out the dice used and replace with 5-new dice; because of the shooter had a good roll? Just how does that part of the game work. Thank you.

Generally the dice are changed at every shift change, so every eight hours. Some casinos don't change the dice as frequently. If a casino has low traffic it may just change the dice once a day. Depends on the casinos in house policy, but in most large casinos it's done at every shift change.

Thank you Heavy. Thought they might be superstitious and remove the dice after a so-called hot roll. My best.

Like " Heavy " says - the dice are " generally " changed out at the shift change - but - THAT is NOT ALWAYS the case as THEY will do WHATEVER is deemed necessary to protect their bottom line. Especially during a " Hot Roll " where the table is dumping big bucks - more so today with the pandemic restrictions which have been instituted !

The way it works is simple - YOU are supposed to LOSE - the HOUSE is supposed to WIN !

Elementary, my dear Mr. Watson !
