Most of the time they do.
The problem arises when you have lots of contenders and you keep betting on the 35 frame..
However I have found out that this kind of situation even if it starts that way ypu usually end up betting 3 to 4 numbers max.

Clue, no need to bet 35 spins. When testing and playing longterm its is more profitable to accept the occasional loss and bet to max expectations. The test I did gave me confidence that flatbetting does not produce an unrecoverable loss before that next win comes. As has been said many times no use to use a progression on a crap bet selection just to hide how crap it is. So using this method in the realistic timeframe you are playing at a real casino will provide more profitable sessions than losing sessions. As with any money management be prepared to take those occassional losses and take advantage of those winning streaks. So choose your poison - controlled negative progression with stop losses or positive progression, or levelled flat betting. The choice is yours.

    cheers,
    Ricky

    Well said
Best to play whatever your bankroll can handle.

You might wanna devide that BR and play it slow...+1/-1 units for each session.

Or go hardcore with a positive progression...if a certain number(s) is hot you make a lot of new session BR ( i believe TG said .... i use a positive progression to cover the loss for the times i was wrong )

A negative progression in the session ..hmm not a fan of those

There are a lot of issues with positive progression unless you are willing to have a lot of steps, like 6.
3 step positive progression is a loser
    Such as 1 5 25

I dont play this way, but in reference to Jonos Test how do you solve the problem of filtering out played numbers if you dont define a variable on when to drop them?

I played a similar way in the past but with session management (W/L) and a 24 spin frame.

I have also tested with a 24 spin AND then again a 24 number frame but not been able to consistently win.

Now if your horse is 1 step away from winning and you can place a bet... no one would
logically bet on a horse that is behind this lead horse. If another horse did meet up with the
leader - guess what ? It's roulette - you can bet on both horses. There's no way to lose
because you know that whichever horse wins - it will win better than the house payout.

It's almost like saying ...im betting the first 3x hoping it get to 4x without another catching up..and if some do, we bet those too till a 4x. Then we only bet that 4x hoping it goes to 5x without some catching up. And if they do , we bet those too till a 5x ... etc etc

    One race ... 37 horses....

And unfortunately there's one or two too many horses in the race so the win is short!

Smit; I think this race was over fences, not on the flat. The target of +100 was eventually made.

At spin 157, I dropped some and evened up the chip values. By doing that, I think it made the difference, those dropped and squaring those being bet, got the target. Overwise; it might have paid just short and then have to carry on.

To the Thick C--T above; 1 pocket to0 many handled

This is what I am talking about positive progression, if your leading horse(s) stop hitting after having hit a few times, you are slowly bleeding and looking at a very long game until other numbers catch up in terms of bet value to make a dent in the recovery of units lost. That’s why I prefer a cautious negative progression

Im having a hard time to ignore those negative progressions. We know the hits come.....i could easily know few ways to apply them. But....It's a negative progression :banghead:

For example... play only the leader . When another one catch up we wait. Till one takes the lead again. Bet 1u the whole session.

    Next session...2u if needed

    Etc

Same could be done with Jono his method

    To that I can agree.
When you have a game where there is equal distribution, a positive progression works against you and you are actually hoping that the next level will have a hit(s) soon enough to make up for the losses.
It will happen eventually that much is CERTAIN but at what cost?
And what kind of BR can withstand these kind of blows?

The bet selection is pretty clear by now there are various approaches l, all of them effective since they are based on the same principle of taking advantage of the phenomenon.

The only thing left is a way to deal with rough sessions.

How about play with your br....

If the hits come fast your br going up directly so you can add more units and push your br high. Dont push it though. Don't give it all back coz you've got greedy

If the hits come slow stay at 1u . I dont think there's more to do about that. ( maybe reset or the waiting game )

I always play(not test) like that, using the casinos money.
However even when you are confident enough that you earned at least one or two BR of your choice all it takes is one bad session with progression to drown them all away.

Im not saying that there arent ways to lock in profits but..

That unfortunately, in my opinion, is not the road to profit, but a route to getting even and staying in the game.

I always thought that flat bet is the way.
I mean its exactly the opposite of what the casino wants you to do - to give in to greed, or sentimental way of playing thinking you cant lose.
