“Interblock study touts electronic table games as money makers “ Is this Hype or Reasonable?

This article by Marie Kelley December 3, 2015 . Canada, Game manufacturers, Latest Casino and Gambling News, U.S.A. emphases some of the positive issues of electronic table games for the casino’s. This independent study of 1200 casino players from Canada & United States found electronic table games could be beneficial.

Although the article is more directed toward the casino’s benefit with the use of electronic table games, I find value for the player; It’s less intimating, no tipping, available 24/7, reasonable minimums compared to live tables, provides lots of data on its outcomes, player control of bets, player timing of play, casino player’s card points, no player or dealer distraction.

Yes there are some downsides, the maximums on these type of games are a lot lower than regular table games, machine failure issues, loss of live table comradery, questionable true random results.

There are other issues but, overall I think the electronic table games machines are getting some acceptance as they are showing up in various forms at a lot of casinos.

    Bottom line:
As stated in the study these machines can become an “action-junky addiction,” with players playing longer and more often.

My personal use of the electronic table games is more limited to “Hit & Run” tactics, with players card use ... where accepted.
