Sports Betting 2024 Football Handicapping Contest Results

As I've done the last three years or so, I'll give monthly updates on football contest results. TopBet no longer has contests. That's a shame, as I won the NFL contest, versus roughly 900 entrants, two years ago. Northbet has decided I can participate but am no longer eligible to win money. So the only Northbet contest I entered was their LMS.

After two weeks:

Tied for 15th (out of about a thousand) in the Heritage Race to the Super Bowl. You need to pick all NFL games with no spreads and featured NFL totals. This is the second best start I've ever had in this contest, which I won about eight years ago.

Still alive in all LMS contests, which is something since 80% of the contestants in the Heritage LMS have been eliminated after two weeks.

After two weeks in NFL ATS contests, I have some 8-4 ATS results and some 6-4 ATS results, depending on formats.

That's it. My better half has an 11-1 ATS and 41-1 unit record in LineMasters, which she has won three of the last six years in which she competed. Her nickname is "The Punisher."

Got absolutely clobbered in the NFL contests Sunday. Combining sides and featured totals, I have seven correct and nine incorrect this week in Heritage. Can't do much worse than that. Dropped to 30th place out of roughly a thousand. I need Buffalo, Cincinnati, the Buffalo Over and the Bengal Under (48 1/2) tonight.

Still alive in the LMS contests, which have about 10% survivors after three weeks, but I need the Bengals tonight to win outright.

My better half went 4-2 games, 12-9 units in LineMasters. She is still leading.

I will check back every few weeks. I thought I'd report on yesterday's results as they were so damned awful. Should have let Harry (my cat) have a whack at last week.

 

Got banged around in the NFL again but finished September in 28th place in Heritage out of about a thousand. That's a decent position.

Karen still leads LineMasters after four weeks. She has been awesome, with a 19-5 ATS game record. Units are 67-17. Nostradamus couldn't top that.

These reports are going to be pretty boring with me contending in just one contest and eliminated from LMS concerns. The only future we have right now is Vols at 50-1 to win NCAA title, and that was not because we love the Vols but because Circa had outlier odds and their schedule laid out favorably. Hopefully we can make a few shekels at some point. I will try to come up with NFL future this week, but nothing leaps out at me.

 

Sitting in 19th out of roughly a thousand in Heritage heading into the Monday Night game, where I have Buffalo and the Over. Went 3-2 in totals this week thus far. Lost Ravens total by half a point.

Went 6-0 and 5-0 ATS in YouWager and BetOnline NFL contests this week, for all the good it did me. Moved up to 178th out of 800 in YouWager. Sitting in roughly 1300th out of maybe 20K in BetOnline. I will try to pin down number of participants in BetOnline.

Karen still leads LineMasters. She and two other handicappers have broken way out in front of everyone else.
