I get it: one unsubstantiated allegation / opinion deserves a responsive one.

OK, you boys play nice now, hear?

Cookies and milk in a half hour.

I dont consider my opinion to be pulled out of thin air.
MC has proven himself to be drunk out of his mind quite often...and when he is....
he has proven to show erratic behavior
he has proven to discharge violent threatening verbal assaults
he has proven to let loose bigoted/racist assaults
he has proven t o exhibit agitated behavior

And from those observations I draw conclusions based on life experience and medical knowledge.

And more likely than not, a person like the above, is often a danger to society via driving while intoxicated, driving while not intoxicated but hung over and groggy, driving while experiencing the effects of liver issues that I previously listed.
And more likely than not, Alcoholics are in denial and lie and pretend to be happy, pretend to be in control...with the leave me alone I am doing just fine attitude.
Hell even the bum laying in the street will tell you to leave him alone ..that he is doing just fine.

So when I say that I dont buy in to the people who claim that they admire him because "he is living his life on HIS terms" or :he has no complaints"
I form that opinion based on some sort of reality.

Now in exchange I dont mind if in return he lashes out that I am a child predator or a member of Nambla.......Its simply grasping at straws...and thats ok. He can also call me the Man on the moon, and Jimmy Hoffa. Its what alcoholics do. And I accept that.

My responses were usually directed at the people who enable him......not specifically at him.

If a guy wants to quietly commit suicide,go ahead. Just dont jump off of an overpass onto traffic that will probably kill others as well.
MC doesnt appear to be someone that does things "quietly".

LarryS, this is a serious response. Human physiology is millions of years in the making. Modern human physiology is hundreds of thousands of years in the making. Modern culture is really only a couple of hundred years old. Humans who have (genetically) made it this far, by definition, are the success stories, whatever their proclivities. If you deem these proclivities to be damaging in some sense to others and to culture as a whole, understand that culture as a whole did not get any genes this far. Our ancestors got us this far, and we retain the biological blueprints for that success.

Now, if you still want to criticize people for the behaviors in which they engage based on your definition of what success is or should be, understand that the only objective bottom line success is genetic. Yes, I view "success" another way, so do you, but these are subjective. Genetic success is real, objective success. If our cohorts today engage in behaviors that you consider irrational or non-optimal, it may not be because they are idiots. It may because (1) they are biological entities designed for completely different environmental contexts, or (2) they are engaging in behaviors that contribute to their ongoing genetic success even though these behaviors seem "selfish" to you, or (3) you simply have no business deciding what's non-optimal because you have no objective reference point. Instead of trying to criticize or evaluate these individuals, who are the current flagships of genetic success simply because they have made it to this point in time, you might consider turning your criticism or suggestions to the environmental context which evidently is so unhealthy that it (according to you) turns these pinnacles of genetic success to irrational, non-optimal behaviors.

But you probably won't do that. Mainly, I think, because it's a lot easier to say this person shouldn't do that or this, than to actually evaluate and take on the cultural institutions (which are very young) that spur these behaviors. Take on the context. That's the difficult thing to do.

In my opinion, its ok to say something is right or wrong and take a stand. Yes there are alot of wishy washy liberals out there who contend that there should be no winners or losers in childrens sports, or even as a teacher tell a student that an answer is wrong. People are petrified of upsetting others.
And they can always hide behind "cultural differences". People defending Michael Vic's dog killings pointed to "cultural differences". While others took a stand on a "right or wrong" view.

In the 50's when I was born, and the 60's growing up....if a young girl got pregnant, there was such a stigma that she would be sent away, and live in another part of the country where she could lie and say her husband died in the military....or some sort of story like that.
I think inherently people knew this was bad for society. Having a bunch of kids in your neighborhood with inferior supervision and no real fatherly influence.
And now in those same neighborhood, young girls can get pregnant and not get shunned. There is no downside to it. They can stay in the community and as a single young parent go on public assistance, and still go clubbing on weekends with the childs 32 year old grandmother.
The net result....well look at those same communities.....graffiti, higher violent crime, higher public school drop out rates, higher divorce rates(as children have no role models for a healthy marriage), higher drug usage,...all the stuff that was under more control in a community where there was "right and wrong"...a community where people didnt have the philosophy.......for each his own.....who are you to judge or have an opinion, as long as the young girl is happy...thats what counts.....I dont hear her complaining .

Its the easy path to sit in an armchair and proclaim, that anything goes, and that its all cultural. Its easy to proclaim that there isnt right or wrong as far as behavior....and that anything should be acceptable as long as it doesnt hurt anyone TODAY.....even though the hurt may come down the road. Its a Tunnel Vision way of looking at things.

But for me part of being a good citizen is seeing the train coming at someone, and pushing them out of the way. Not waiting for the damage to be done first before forming an opinion . For me being a good citizen is telling parents that they shouldnt let their children play on train tracks, rather than wait for one of them to be killed and then go to them and give the advice.
Of course there will be some folks who pat the parents on the back and tell them that they are living their lives the way they want and they admire them. And I say there is right and wrong.

My way errs on the side of saving a childs life, and errs on the side of keeping communities safer and in tact.

The other side that just chaulks things up to cultural differences......allows society to go down the path that its going now.,

I would submit that if someone in 1959 opened up a newspaper from TODAY in 1959 ..and read the news....they might have a nervous breakdown. They wouldnt recognize the world. THey would not believe the violence and misery.

And in my opinion thats all do to alot of people telling others to just back off and dont judge...telling us we need to accet "cultural" difference.

i think my rabbi took off more than he should have...thats my story and Im sticking to it.

and yes MC.....keep it coming. Because you know what.....when the shoe doesnt fit.......I dont wear it.....and the words just slide off.

However if the words had even a glimmer of truth..........your words would hit a nerve....and cause an inflamatory reaction.

It seems I hit a nerve.

Either that or Larry is an ex-priest passing himself off as Jewish to cover up his child molestor past.

I like this song as performed by these girls:

I'm not a pedophile, either: music is its own aphrodisiac.

Good to see some young 'uns comin' on.

A priest and a rabbi were walking down the street when they passed by a little boy bent over tying his shoe.

the priest turned to the rabbi and said, lets fuck him

the Rabbi looked at the Priest and said, out of what?

    a stantonian deduction

    a stantonian joke

I CAN SEE STANTON, AXHOLE and MC sharing a room at Hooters casinos in vegas over the years, sharing a bag of doritos, and watching the history channel......another Hitler biography coming soon.

Its funny how birds of a feather flock together in intellect.

The term "stantonian" is used to ascribe the characteristics of Frank Stanton to a statement or idea.

It encompasses a rather broad net of descriptives, including: dim-witted, anti-Semitic, inept and FLAWed.
